Awesome headphones. Bought these for my teen daughter and she absolutely loves them.

In 3 months the cheap plastic that SkullCandy uses in their products broke. Do not purchase any headphones from this company. This is the second pair that has broken. Fool me twice, shame on me. The first was in 6 months and this is half of that. I have a pair of their bluetooth earbuds which I have had for about 2 years now. Still works just fine. The sound is good for both product types. The headphones are just cheaply made and nowhere near worth the money that is being asked for these or even the lower model headphones.

The only thing I dislike is that the headphones are not compact. They do not fold inwards/outwards.

The "over the ear" portion barely fit over my ears. The active noise canceling works great. The mic, I have been told, sounds like crap. I bought these on sale for $99 down from $180. I can't believe anyone would pay $180 for these and be happy. I am taking them back to get headphones with a better mic.

Performs as expected, no problems at all. Bluetooth connection works like a charm.

Pros: -Skullcandy Sound: Bass is a little heavy, but generally well balanced -Comfortable: These over the ear sit well without too much pinching -Active Noise Reduction (ANC): Well padded ear pieces complement decent algorithms, allowing voices, but not noise. They successfully blocked out my daughter’s music (not to my taste). I also wore them on the bus and train where they helped create a world of my own. -Easy to pair. The headphones quickly connect to the last source when powered on. Holding the button for 5 seconds puts them in pairing mode for your next device. -Good Bluetooth range. I was able to walk all around my house with no dropouts. Music quality was consistent throughout. -Volume: I was able to hear what I wanted without having to crank it up to deafening levels. Cons: -Bulky when they’re folded up. -No ANC when they’re plugged in, only when on Bluetooth -Microphones include ambient sounds when used as a headset. Value: Skullcandy delivers decent, but not perfect active noise cancellation at a very competitive price point. Including Bluetooth connectivity along with the ANC makes these stand out from similar Sony and Bose ANC models which cost substantially more. Even though the ANC is not on par with these other two, these are a good bet for anyone other than hard core airplane users. Conclusion: The Skullcandy Venue headphones have more brand appeal among the younger generation than Bose does. That reputation is preserved in these headphones which deliver solid value and generally balanced sound. While no one will mistake their noise cancelling ability with Bose, they arguably have a more pleasing sound profile. My 14 year old daughter, the ultimate customer in my case, gave them 2 thumbs up!
