I had a lot of trouble with the earpieces. The inner and outer edges started separating right away. Bluetooth stopped working out of the blue.

I want to start by saying how happy I am with the packaging. not a lot of waste, minimalist design, great carrying bag that has everything in it out of the box.
the package contains the headphones, a stereo cable is off, the charging cable, and the booklets.
the design of the headphones is very nice, and the color is somewhere between matte and gloss black.
the positioning of the buttons is very well thought of, and the ear and head padding is perfect like a cloud is hugging your ears.
The noise cancelling technique is AMAZING, to try them in real life conditions, I took them to the gym where its very loud all the time and once i put them on, the noise was gone. whats even better is that you have button you can push that would pause noise cancelling, and another one that would kill it all together.
another great option is the assistant launching button. when pressed it launches your cell phone assistant (Alexa, Google, etc). but if you have set your phone to not unlock when calling the assistant, pushing the button on the headphone won't launch the assistant either.
pairing the device took 10 seconds or less, and i used it for 3 hours without charging it out of the box and it still have more than 50%. this is very satisfying for me.
side note: Although skull candy website DOES NOT recommend using the venue for activities that can cause sweat or wetness, i did use it at the gym and found them very durable. I only wish they could create an active noise cancelling headphones that are sweat and water resistant.

I thought for the price the product would be awesome. When I used them at home they sounded great I was ecstatic, however when I used them outside I learned fast that the headphones were mediocre at best. Noise canceling yeah not so much.

The sound was distorted when I leaned on either side of headphones while laying down playing games or streaming. I returned this product and it was difficult to configure.

Great headphones, the active noise canceling feature is great removing sounds from outside (although I noticed it adds a very small hiss). I also love that they have a monitor feature, which basically lets you hear the outside (ie. someone talking to you), so you can answer and hear them without taking the headphones off. I didn't notice they have an specific app for this pair, however they paired easy with my android phone. They are also Tile compatible (you can use the app to find your headphones if you misplace them).
I'm not an audiophile by any means, but I think the bass are more than enough for me and I have not noticed any distortion when cranking up the volume.
One thing though, I have big ears, and after a while they started to hurt a little. YMMV, maybe if you have smaller ears. But it wasn't that bad, it was more of a sign to me to rest a little.
Overall, I will highly recommend them, specially the fact of the monitoring function, no more taking headphones off when people talk to me!!

Decent Noise Cancelling Headphones

These Wireless, noise cancelling headphones work pretty well. They connect easily to my iPad and laptop. I'm no audiophile but they sound good to me. The noise cancelling is quite good. It doesn't completely eliminate outside sound, but dampens it really well. For example, the washer and dryer or running faucet are reduced to quiet whispers. They would be really useful for noisy plane, train, bus, or car rides or noisy office environments. I like that with the wireless connection, I can walk around my house doing chores without having to carry my iPad with me while listening to music or podcasts. The battery lasts a long time and charges very fast with the included usb cable. They also come with a 3.5mm cable to connect to non-Bluetooth devices and a nice zippered semi-hard and padded case to carry everything. My one complaint is that they are not that comfortable to wear for long periods of time. They have an adjustable, padded headband and padded earphones, but listening to a long album or long podcast, like an hour, they start to get uncomfortable (but your milage may vary).

Headphones were great but they band that goes over your head has a manufacture defect that causes the plastic pieces to break and dig into your head. Terribly painful. Owned two pair before finally switched to another brand. These should be removed as they don’t hold up at all. Thankfully I bought the warranty.

I really want to like these headphones. The built in Tile was really exciting since I just bought into that system. The active noise cancelling is really great for my noisy commute on public transportation. I especially like the minimal branding and near microscopic logo. The included cable lets you use them on non-bluetooth devices, or if you run out of battery and your phone is still one of the ones that has a headphone jack. The case that it comes with is very nice and premium feeling and is great for packing the headphones in while travelling. You can even trigger your phone's voice assistant with the press of a button. Unfortunately, this pair just didn't feel right on my head.
The earcups are a little too small, so I had to fold my ears up to get them to fit into the cups so that they didn't lay on my ears, which mitigated the uncomfortableness only marginally. The default head size was too small, and the extension part clicks in at certain intervals, but to fit my head I need an two clicks more on the left and 3 on the right, causing a little bit of lopsidedness.
The Active Noise Cancelling works almost too well. If it is turned on, and there is no music playing, there is an uncomfortable pressure in my ears, almost like when taking a plane ride. It goes away almost immediately once some music is playing, but there's many times, especially on the train, when I have my headphones turned on but not actively listening to anything, and just don't want to be bothered. Fortunately the ANC can be disabled with a quick button press.
The Tile integration is really great, but I've found that with something the size of these headphones it's really difficult to lose them, unlike my keys and wallet.
The sound quality of these headphones is decent. The soundstage is relatively narrow, and the mids frequently get lost behind the bass, which itself tends to get muddled, especially with ANC on. The treble does have a sharp edge, almost serrated as it cuts through you. At first I thought that ANC seems to really boost the sound output as even in a quiet room I found that having it switched off caused the sound volume to drop and allowed more sound bleeding out, but also allowing outside sound in, which is important for when you need to have sound cues like when crossing a busy street. I later discovered that I was switching to "Monitor mode" expressly designed to allow you to interact with your environment while your headphones are on, so you don't have to turn off or pause what you are listening to just to yell loudly at the barista oblivious to your own volume.
All in all, this is a decent enough set of cans, with some great features, especially for those with noisy commutes. If they were more comfortable for my head, or offered a more studio sounding experience, they'd be my every day carry pair.

These headphones are light and highly portable. The white color is nice and soothing. The noise cancelling feature does a great job of blocking out outside noise. Being able to use the Tile application to locate the headphones using bluetooth is a very cool feature.

I’m not used to associating Skull Candy as a higher quality/priced brand so I didn’t know what to expect when I got this. What I got was surprisingly good sound, decent noise canceling, and the unexpectedly perk of Tile. These aren’t necessarily the top of the line or even the best in my collection but they definitely are better than average. Battery life so far is excellent. These are definitely ones I would grab for the long flights or road trips I take.

In my search for noise canceling headphones I finally purchased the highly rated (and expensive) Sony WH-1000XM3, only to find that even on the smallest setting they flopped off my head. This turned out to be true of the Bose, Beats and down the line until I finally found the Skullcandy Venue. I won't go into a technical review because you can find that elsewhere, but I do want to mention how quickly they connect to multiple BT items and it's great to be able to move seamlessly between them. In all, I am very happy to finally have found a great competitor in the noise cancellation field that is stylish, full of features and fits a small head!

The buttons are difficult to locate quickly. And the button to play/pause/pair broke after 2 months, which makes it pretty unusable. Too late to return so that's $100 down the drain.
