These characters and skylanders games work well and are very good for the kids to play and learn problems solving. The biggest downside is that the game is constantly showing characters they don't have and creating a need for more.

We bought swap force for our 7 year old and he loves it, but he also wants more and more different characters to swap with. It's a fun game, but beware...you'll likely be spending big bucks to get more characters for swapping.
