Have always loved this movie. A classic well worth owning. Such a great cast in this as well.

This movie examines the major flaws of the New York State “Reformatory System” and the physical and sexual abuses that were allowed to exist and that were inflicted upon the youth who were held there, under the pretense of correcting their antisocial behavior. It is also a story of revenge and retribution, for those horrible acts committed against those young juveniles, who found themselves defenseless against their male correctional officers. This movie is deeply intense, and should be viewed with an objective and empathetic mind.

Great cast and startling story line make this a movie that demands viewing until the end.

Recalled liking this movie and at the price it was worth the purchase.

There are old movies that hang around, but really should have been shelved years ago. SLEEPERS isn't one of them. The film's story and subject matter were deeply controversial when it first opened, and it was dealt with in a punch to the gut. It still resonates today. Great acting, intense story line, and a look at man's inhumanity to his fellow man, and the tragedies that follow, but revenge may not always be the best solution, but in this case, revenge was sweet!

Bought for a friend.This movie is rarely if ever played on regular cable channels any longer.So I picked up as a Christmas gift for friend that real likes this movie.Good movie, although the subject matter isn't for the youngins.Viewer discretion is advised !

Hard to review something like a movie because it's subjective so I'll just say this movie has a bunch of well known actors and I feel the story is really great. I've never gotten caught up in the whole "did this really happen" discussion with other fans because the writer that claims the story is about his experiences has never provided proof to back it up so I just take it as a great story.

Set in New York's Hell's Kitchen--with all of its subsequent turbulence and socioeconomic dysfunction--this film tells the story of four boys, four lifelong pals, who are sadistically brutalized in a reform school and carry the scars into their adult lives.

Sleepers is a great movie and good picture quality. Been looking for this movie in Bluray for a while already and found it in the 5.99 bin its a hidden gem. Cast puts a great performance and keeps you engaged from start to finish. Highly Recommended a must see movie and to have in your collection.

The film starred Jason Patric, Brad Pitt, Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman, Vittorio Gassmann and Kevin Bacon among others. After a prank goes disastrously wrong, a group of boys are sent to a detention center where they are brutalized; over 10 years later, they get their chance for revenge.

I love that you can find hard to find movie classics in blue ray Sleepers is a great movie with many stars bratt Pitt, Kevin Bacon and many more stars. Excellent movie to add to movie collect in blue ray. Highly recommend this movie in blue ray and you can find it at Best Buy

This movie is lesser known for some reason, but I have no idea why! The cast is simply amazing.....it's so cool to see so many of our most famous actors sooo young. The story line is absolutely sucks you in. Must see!

Based on the 'Hells Kitchen' abuse at a juvenile reform school years ago, this movie's intense but with excellent acting from many well-known actors. Kevin Bacon especially acts well as an evil abuser, who gets his just desserts (so to speak).

Sleepers is a great movie which results from a tragedy like "Shawshank Redemption". The movie is very good but the issue pushing the story can weigh on you. If you haven't seen the movie I suggest you give it a try. Just know, the story isn't necessarily uplifting.

How often does a movie have five big movie stars? This movie has a fantastic plot with great sub plots. It would be fantastic if more movies were made like this great flick.

This is a b movie at best. Glad it was in the cheap bin
