    Perhaps the last truly ambitious animated film completed during Walt Disney's lifetime, Sleeping Beauty comes back to blu-ray after a six year absence. The film still holds up as a monumental achievement in animation and economical storytelling. The blu-ray packaging itself is much more sparse than the previous 2-disc Platinum Edition, and the newest special features are just fluff pieces, but the most consequential supplemental features from the previous edition such as audio commentary, and three informative documentaries have fortunately been ported over to this newer edition.
