Great product, however limitations imposed when using a HDMI cable are frustrating. I wound up using both HDMI and component, this allows me to stream all channels. My provider is DirecTV - so I had to order a special cable to use with my wireless genie.

I have a house in pa and wanted to save money on the cable bill so I purchaseda sling box,it's just like watching tv at home.

This is the 3rd sling that I have owned. 100% reliable, easy to setup, and it just works. Stream easily around the house or to my iPad or iPhone. Great product!

This allows me to watch anything on my DVR from anywhere in the world. Fantastic technology. The only hassle is that if you want to watch on your pad or phone, that you'll have to pay for the appropriate app. If you are only going to watch on your computer or by streaming through a Roku or something like that . . . there are no other costs at all.

This sling box works anywhere in the world. Canada, Australia, New Zealand...very happy with this product and my ability to keep up with local events. Only down side is the bandwidth of some WiFi networks causes some buffering and delay.

I like the Slingbox 500, it's easy to connect to any cable system as long as you do each step as you are instructed. The only down fall is, if where you have it connected, they try to watch TV the same time as you, then you either have to watch what they are watching or you have to make sure it's hooked up to a TV that isn't use often, which in my case we hooked it up into the bedroom TV. Certainly an improvement over the version I had before that was 4 years old. Easy to install and setup. Performance has been really good so far.

This hits the mark for our needs but the cable box must be available, up to date and compatible with sling box

Needed this for our daughters in college so they wouldn't need to get cable. It seems to be working well.

We were in Hawaii and was able to watch our Pittsburgh Penguin hockey games. The slingbox worked great. It took a couple minutes to stabilize but was very clear after that.

I travel a lot and want to watch my tv and programs at times. This was very simple to set up, get a free account, download required apps and use. I have used on a tablet and laptop computer so far. Very easy and quick to get on to my tv etc. crystal clear picture and very little delay if any. Can view my recorded shows from my DVR and even fast forward by using on screen remote. Highly recommended!!

This slingbox works like it says! I'm able to watch my home tv cable on my phone wherever I'm at as long as I have phone service. I got it to watch football on Sundays when I can't be home! And it comes with everything you need. Only bad thing is that there is a 1 time charge to buy the slingbox app for your mobile device of 15 bucks. On top of the 300 bucks for the slingbox itself. All in all it works and was worth it.

Not only is this perfect for traveling but when I'm in the kitchen cooking, I can turn it on to watch what my husband is watching in the mancave. I have a chromecast connected to kitchen TV to access the slingbox on it.

Sling Media Slingbox 500: We love the versiablity of the Slingbox 500. We can go any where and get our favorite shows. We use it on our laptops, smartphones and tablet.

I think this is a great product but be wary. We are in a rural area and only have access to DSL high speed internet. DSL upload speeds are not fast enough to give you great video. It tends to be choppy, blurry, and sometimes stops. The device allows to download 30 minutes of video so it will run smooth, but no more. That needs to be changed. If your bandwidth has 1MB upload speed or higher I think you'll love this product. If you are stuck with DSL at 384K-512K watch out; it's not as dreamy as advertised. Remember the ISP's advertise their download speed. That is not important in this application. Upload speed is what you need to be worried about.

The 'Box works as promised; now i can watch my shows anywhere. If there's one thing i could change, it would be the unit's design; it could be either more sleek or inconspicuous. i like my appliances to "disappear".

Close to being a great product with easy setup and clear picture. Unfortunately the manufacturer never developed a user interface for Charter Cable. You have to use a clumsy workaround that is very frustrating. Little help from their support phone number. Might want to wait until they have resolved this problem.

I was very impressed with the ease of installation of the Slingbox and how simple it is to operate. Love being able to see the remote onscreen. This product not only allows you to watch your current paid cable programming anywhere you have internet access it also allows you to have your onscreen remote you are already accustomed to using at home. As a second home owner I was searching for a way to avoid having to pay a second cable company when their service would only be used for long weekends and vacations.

Overall just as good as the Vulkano but no iPhone app without paying extra. Better menu and ease of use and has worked flawlessly so far but the iPhone app is a nickel and dime the customer thing that bothers me as a consumer that spent good money for a all in one top of the line piece of technology.

Over all I really like my slingbox 500. The price is a little to high for basically one added improvement (wifi connection). Wish there was more written info on how to operate all the controls on the different devices instead of searching (Youtube). Must say that the support techs are knowledgeable and very helpful. I would recommend the slingbox 350 or 500 to friends and family!
