Perfect device for travelers

Sling Box 500 is great for component not HDMI

I am using DirecTV with HDMI cables and there are some networks that prevent Sling Boxes from streaming them, such as most of the movie channels. The work around is using component cables which still gives you HD without the security measures. Only problem for me is my HD receiver only has HDMI.

Great for the Sports Fan

It allows you to watch sports on your mobile device through your home TV anywhere you are. The set up was easy enough. The problem may be that it is too easy to watch sports wherever you are. It may be too much temptation to resist!

My Third Slingbox

Love everything about it. Keeps me up-to-date with all of the local new and my favorite sports teams. Make living/working in Europe that much better.

great product for everyone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The sling box 500 is the only device on their line up with wireless connection to your network.also provides a choice for hdmi ,component or composite .works best with component cable.so far I have been using it thru my galaxy s4 and my note 8.when you are away from home this is your solution to watch tv...any chanel on your cable subscription. Great hd picture also.highly recomend.

Pretty good, some issues

It does disconnect a little more than i would like. I have stable internet but for some reason the iphone/ipad connections aren't as stable as on a computer.
