I love this gadget. Bought my brother one a few years ago and used it more than he did. It's a little ridiculous that you have to buy aps to use the product you just spent $300.00 on. Overall, I really like Slingbox. Just wish they could clean up those final issues.

We live at the lakeshore and have the slingbox connected to our GR service. We watch TV at the cottage through our slingbox, can get all the local stations as well as anything we DVR. Works well for our situation.

Have been using for a while in Hungary to stream my Directv and it works flawlessly. If you need or want to stream anywhere anytime then this is for you. The phone app works great and the abilities this box provides are unmatched. It has been reliable every time. It was easy to set up and has done everything I wanted it to do.

You have to buy a $14.99 app for this to work. It does not tell you that until you get into the box. We returned it. Dish network has one that works with our satellite for a lot cheaper

I got a competitor's product and it worked when you set it up and as soon as it did a firmware upgrade it did not work anymore with their software. It also would never change a channel with the little IR cable set-up. This one sets up easily and works...

This product does exactly what it is supposed to do right out of the box.

We have had a sling since 2004 and recently bought an upgrade from Best Buy. Installation is easy and on an HD computer the picture is just like HD TV. Plus we can pull up our home TV channels off Direct TV from anywhere on our laptops and watch TV just like at home. Good value.

Was very easy to set up and use. Basically a one click app on ipad or computer. Since I am a commuter for a while I havent needed to get cable or satellite at second location due to the purchase of the slingbox. Didnt work well at a hotel I stayed at due to slow internet service and had to pay for faster service to get it to stream live tv.

It's really cool technology, and it will come in useful for the football sesson

Allows you to watch all you cable TV channels while not being home. Prefect for watching the fights while away camping.

I really like having the slingbox. I use it for my second home. I pay a lot for uverse at my home and it's great to be able to take the tv to my farm on the weekends. We have an antennae set up, but sometimes the picture goes out. it's nice to have this option when it's too hot or raining outside to be able to watch tv and relax a bit. My only complaint is the picture quality. The picture is sometimes majorly out of focus but mostly just slightly. I also can't fix the size of the picture on my tv. I can manually do it, but it distorts the picture. When I turn off the slingbox, the picture fits the screen. This is why I gave it a 4 instead of 5

This is the 3rd unit I've purchased and have never had a problem with the other 2. Normally works very well and is easy to set up. Unfortunately, this one worked for a day, did an auto update and it never worked again. It kept over heating, and not acknowledging the on screen remote. Factory reset various times as per instructions, nothing worked. Returning for exchange.

I bought this product to watch sports on my deck, in bed and away from home. This model attracted me because of the wifi hook up to modem and easy of installation. It has met all my needs and works as advertised. I watch it mainly on my Ipad. I think the price should be more in the $200.00 range tho. That would be my only complaint.

Overall is a very good unit with great picture but price are high and app should be free.(which they charge $14.99+tax)per tablet or phone.

Love that I can travel and still watch my home DirecTV including shows I'v recorded. The equipment/technology is great but be aware that it's performance is totally dependent upon the quality of the media source and, above all, the internet connection both outbound from the Slingbox and inbound to your remote viewing device.

This product is great. I able to watch my dodgers in the playoffs. I work all day dont get home til late but now can watch on my smartphone or work computer no problem. The only bad thing is price $300. But still very happy with it.
