Installation was quick and easy - works as advertised.

I have had a Slingbox for a long time and I was a little irritated that I could not stream to my iPad unless I upgraded my Slingbox to the most current model line. I chose to go with the Slingbox 500. I am glad that I did but I hope that I won't have to upgrade for at least 4 or 5 years. The Wi-Fi is a nice feature and I might have to use it one day, that's the real reason why I bought the 500 model. I had to do the HDMI work around to stream some channels. It is not Slingbox fault but the quality is really good, just as good to my eye as the HDMI streaming quality.

An excellent upgrade to my first generation Slingback.

This product is very good and great to who live abroad

I'm a truck driver and the Slingbox player saved me from buying a satellite system for my truck. Although the price is not cheap, it's better than the alternative. The performance is quite good, even with a sub par signal.

This was a great upgrade from the previous slingbox.

It uses a lot of data but what I need. It was easy to set up and use I needed to take the guide with me so I knew more of what I was doing

Purchased for my daughter in college so she can watch her directv shows in her apt. Just like you are watching it at home. Internet speed is important but overall exactly what I was looking for.

Best media remote device I've ever used. Easy to install. Great support. Can watch any show I want and even use VOD. Shows identical remote control and you can use all those same buttons as you would from home setup.

Watch anything available to you at home; anywhere. The only thing I didn't like is that you have to buy a $15 app on your iPad/iPhone to watch. Other then that, it's awesome. Works just like it's described.

I'm not sure my 1st review attempt went through, so here goes again: Got for family to watch Boston sports in NY and to use at our vacation home in Maine. Set up was a little confusing and it was difficult to track down a customer service person to help. Once we got through via on-line chat the person was very patient and helpful. Have not used a lot, but seems to work fine. We hope to have more time to play with it after the holidays. There are multiple Slingbox websites and it's confusing to know which one to use.

I have had a Slingbox for many years and finally had to upgrade. Much easier to watch recorded shows without commercials. Being able to watch my home teams while traveling is a great bonus!

Easy to install until the part when the set top box was not compatible. Told the Sling Box to use another set top box model. Works greats.

The video quality is great but the sound is poor. Hopefully an update will fix it

I love being able to access my dvr when I'm away from home. I can watch anything I have recorded or live tv from my home stations.

Was disappointed that the software was not usable on my 64 bit laptop, had to use 32 bit laptop. Was not mentioned on product requirements. The Sling Box did work as advertised on the package. The internet speeds at home and away needed to be DSL speeds or greater. The TV shows and movies would pause and break up at times during their showing. Unable to watch a complete show without several pauses during the broadcast.

I've owned 4 of these through the years. They seem to last about 2.5-3 years. Make sure you have good internet speeds and stability, or don't bother with a sling box. I love the functionality. They are especially great if you live outside the country and want to watch US programming. Slings customer service has always been horrible...so hopefully you don't need any help from them.

This is a great product, it has worked just like it said it would and I really enjoy using it. My complaints about the product are very minor. One is the smartphone and IPad apps both cost $15. If you watch on a laptop it is free. My other complaint is that I have it hooked up to the main TV in my house. So if I'm out and want to watch the slingbox and my wife is home watching TV I will take over control of the TV and she will have to move to are other TV in the bedroom. She is not fond of that. But I've had zero technical or any problems with this. I really like it.

This is by far the easiest Sling product to set up. I love watching My Saints games on my phone anywhere I am in the world. Sling box is the greatest companion to the TV since the DVR.

I travel extensively for work, it's great to have the ability to control my cable box and watch my recorded shows on my mac and Ipad.
