My daughter is away at college and uses this to watch or cable at home. She has access to all dvr function and can watch her tv... phone .... tablet. Set up was 15 min and works great. Draw back is you have to watch what sling is watching so i set it up on a spare room tv.

I read alot about it and I decided to try it and I was amazed ... it has a goodppicture quality ... so you can go anywhere and you are able to watchur tv ..

This is the easiest device to setup. It set up in minutes. It does exactly what it promises to do. It allows me to watch my own TV channels and recordings on my tablet regardless of where I am. It even duplicates my directv remote on the screen. I am still trying to get it to work with air play, so I can watch it on a big TV. The settop box has a "cool" design so you won't mind leaving it out where it can be seen. My only negative is that it gets very hot. I don't think it has a fan. I solved this by rasing the box up about 3/4 of an inch to inprove the ventilation.

Slingbox is a great way to watch your TV shows away from home. My only complaint with this product is that you have to pay for the IOS app. It does require a fairly fast internet connection on both ends or you may get some lag.

The Slingbox is exactly what I needed. I use it to watch games and local programming while I'm traveling. Works exactly as advertised

The Slingbox 500 is easy to set up and works just as advertised. I used it overseas without any issues.

I can finally watch the nfl Sunday ticket when I'm traveling. Only drawback is that you have to pay for the app to watch sling tv on your phone

I have a long history with Slingbox. When my daughter went away to school she was worried about missing her shows. Using the slingbox she has full access to our home cable system with the DVR. We also get to see the shows she records so....While most schools have wi-fi for the students, most don't have a full cable package. This allows her full TV access for free so.....Easy to set up, free to use...

We have UVerse which allows you to access TV anywhere over the internet EXCEPT overseas. My son lives in Australia and this product will allow him to do everything one can do at home through the standard remote control while over there. Because we went with the wireless unit, I was able to install it on a less used receiver at a remote location (to the router) in my house. And it works perfectly.

Though slightly cumbersome to go through all the various menu pages and items it works quite well. Great for saving money on extra cable bills and or boxes. Only real dislike is the lag time, but that's not real bad but every time you want to scroll up or down a menu it must go through it's retrieve cycle for the data. That will cause a delay of 5-8 seconds. Could be annoying, but then think of the money you're saving and it's not bad at all.

I have enjoyed seeing the programming I miss when out of town or out of signal for certain sports programs with blackout or TV restriction issues.

I travel for a living so it is great to be able to watch my favorite sports teams on my local stations from back home.

Using this while out of town at a vacation home. It works great and is cheaper than another cable / satellite service bill

Simple, easy to use. Got this primarily for when I travel abroad, but haven't tested that yet. Domestically, via wifi or 4GLTE works great.
