We have xfinity/Comcast Cable TV / DVR and Internet at home and also travel extensively. Xfinity has considerable streaming capabilities while we're away. However, the sling box gives us direct access to the DVR management to enable customizing of streaming content... awesome funtionality... like being at home while thousands of miles away!

I love this technology, works as advertised, and for mobile professionals this is the best way to connect to the home base entertainment.

If you have a second home, vacation home, etc. no need to have Cable or satellite there! If you travel a lot and want to see your favorite shows from your DVR or live - this is what you need. It is amazing. It is difficult to fast forward through commercials - but with practice I think that I will get better at that! If someone will be at home watching the TV you have your Sling Box hooked up to -you will have to fight over the remote. You can use Sling Box to watch your TV on other devises - all you need is the app!

I can watch Buffalo Bills while in Florida from my tv in Buffalo New York.

Well worth the purchase in order to stream live football anywhere I want!

The Slingbox 500 was a replacement for an older Slingbox. The 500 is a much better unit than the previous model. Better High Def. resolution than older model. Only downside was I had to connect to a set top cable box where the older model had a tuner built in. Looking forward to a few good years out of this one until the next generation comes along and makes this obsolete!

GREAT SERVICE! Purchased Slingbox 500 to use primarily for domestic & international travel. After a small hiccup setting up in conjunction with DirecTV, Sling Media guided me through the main set up and answered additional questions the next day. The product works great domestically & we will try it internationally this summer.

High quality picture, 1080P, works great, no interruptions is signal streaming like other pay for view online streaming sites.

Slingbox works great! I have used the slingbox for years and am happy to upgrade.

I have had a previous HD version and this model is much better. Easier to use and also wifi. Get it ... You won't regret it!

Great Product, I bought it so I could use my home DVR/Cable while at our cabin. I save $70 a month on the cabin service. Well worth the $300 one time charge. What I don't like is having to pay the additional $17 for the app on my mobile devices. Come on Slingbox, either give it to us or add it to purchase price. NO TEASING!

Easy setup, started working within minutes of unpacking

It took a liitle time to hook up and then had to spend another $50 on a wiring adapter cause of copyright issue with satellite box streaming through the slingbox and lack of rca compenents on directv box. Bought to watch all my channels then 6 months later directv allows viewing of all programs on dvr and all suscribed channels

Can watch my cable anywhere in the world that has an internet connection. fabulous

A great way to watch your home tv in other rooms of the house or any where in the world. Just remember that the tv you have the sling box connected to, other people will not be able to watch a different channel if you are watching it from the sling box. I have it connected to a spare tv to prevent that from happening.
