A friend was using Slingbox at a location 150 miles from his main TV and Cable connection and was extremely happy with the results. I wanted the same but at a location 6,000 miles away. Even though I understood the concept that it would work wherever one had a WiFi connection, I was doubtful. But, I am very pleased to be able to state that I am totally satisfied. My Slingbox is in Southern Calfornia and I have been accessing it from central Italy!

Product was easy to set up and works perfectly from anywhere. You can watch your home tv anywhere

Why charge extra, or advertise (slingbox that is, not Bestbuy) that you have an HDMI compatible box when you clearly do not. Was advised to connect 3 component because "HDMI decoding" was not done by the box. If I wanted 3 component and R-L stereo only I would of bought the cheap version

I replaced an old sling box and the new setup procedures directly through TV are fantastic! So easy.

Overall great product. We use it for the grandkids to watch Disney programs. Also for those times when away and we want to see a particular program. Navigation for selecting channels can be difficult when using channel guide features or on demand features. I woul recommend to friends and family. I like apps available for phones and tablets.

This product works well. It is used to view local programs no matter where I am traveling for work.

This product has been great the HDMI built in is a great upgrade from previous models. It runs great through a laptop. My only complaint is the ipad app and on the phones its seems to disconnect and cut out from time to time and I paid extra for those. Otherwise this is great and can watch my sports and other shows while I travel.

I use Slingbox since 2006 and I have always been happy about it. Recently I upgrade my slingbox to get the wireless feature and I am still very happy about it. I can watch TV anywhere in the world at anytime. I can access my cable box remote control to record shows on my DVR or change channel or watch a previously recorded show from my list as long as I have internet access.

Great product and option not to rent another box from Comcast. Plus works great on phone and tablet.

Have had Slingbox for years. This is my 3rd one and I just love it. I am able to watch TV overseas or on the road.

Works as advertised, so far no issues. very happy with Sling Box 500.

My son is teaching in Spain and loves New England sports. He watches the games on his computer in Spain. Great!

Make sure you have a fast internet connection on both ends.

Got this and several ruku's to get rid of several small infinity boxes in guest or exercise room. The initial installation of the slingbox was a little challenging since my x1 box lacked rca jacks. Geek squad was not very skilled in this area BUT sling came to my rescue and directed me to an adapter and how to install it. Once installed and some experience the system works great and saves us about $20/month.

The idea is great and now that I have it pretty well set up it is OK. I want to simply watch TV at my condo. The set up was a nightmare, but the Sling support is really good. The set up & unit does not work as easily as you are led to believe. And I am VERY tech savvy. My smart TV does not have an Sling app (most don't) and the built in browser does not support Sling. SOOOO in order to see the content on my SMART TV I have to hook up my laptop and project that to the TV AND connect the audio signal. Very cumbersome. My other option is to access my content through my iPad. BUT the app for that is ANOTHER $15. On top of the investment I have already made that seems unfair. Or I can buy a Roku for an even higher additional cost. Once set up, the savings in cable bills does offset the cost of the unit. Maybe when the TV can just access the SlingPlayer the unit will be worth the aggravation and the cost.

I travel all over the world and able to view all my American television .. Great unit and simple to setup.

The product is truly great! It was simple to install on my WOW cable DVR. Now I can watch my cable TV plus full access to the DVR recorded shows from any city or country as long as you have WI-Fi connection! We have already used it in another city while we were on vacation, and it works perfect!!
