Slingbox concept is an excellent. However, it took me sometime to set up the correct configuration to "sling" my Direct TV from my home location to a smart TV. You need to use a Roku box and have a mobile phone or tablet in order to get the TV signal from the slingbox to the smart TV.

Slingboxes are fickle devices. When working, it is fantastic to be able to watch shows away from the house. The downside is device longevity. A prior one only lasted a little over a year. I had to return the first one after a week. The second has been working for a month. An extended warranty was purchased.

Item worked perfectly without delay while I was in Europe

It does just what they said it would. And it works great. I really can watch my own TV subscription from anywhere in the world, as long as I have access to the internet (even if that is only over my iPhone). The only down side was that after buying the Slingbox, I still had to shell out another $15 for the iPhone app. Oh well, it was still worth it, and I'd do it again. Not only would I recommend this to friends... I have.

SlingBox has came. LONG WAY since they first came out!

Although the devise works great on my IPAD tablet, I was told by the Best Buy salesman that my Samsung Smart TV has the Slingplayer App. to play the device. This is NOT TRUE. I would have returned it if not for Chromecast which now allows me to "sling" my program onto my Smart TV.

This is my 2nd slingbox. It is the only way to have complete access to my dvr when I am away from home. It works great but my first one only lasted a course me years. Hopefully this one lasts much longer.

When traveling, or anywhere there is a wifi connection available, I have complete access to live TV and everything I have recorded on my DVR. No more searching through the channels in a hotel trying to find what I want to watch!. Just login on my laptop and watch the shows I want to see. No monthly fees of any kind. Love it!!

While temporarily living in China, didn't want to miss the NFL football games this season! This device has made it so easy to watch US television while sitting in our apartment in China any time we want!

Setting up was a breeze and the quality of picture on any device is quite good.

Had the slingbox 350 which was good but this is on a whole different level

Exactly what we expected, easy to attach, easy to use.

College student can now access the tv feed in their home bedroom along with the DVR.

If you follow the included setup guide with and connect all the cables it's amazingly easy to get up and running. Web interface is good, although a little laggy when opening the remote or guide portions. It's a great way to avoid paying for multiple set-top boxes from your provider. The only down side is, the box it's connected to and all Sling viewers will be watching the same thing, but thats minor.

My wife is addicted to TV and uses this all the time. She uses it on her phone & tablet to watch TV on the bus and at work. We've even used it during our vacation overseas; as long as you have Wifi, you can use it anywhere in the world. You can also watch programs saved on your DVR. Installation was a bit complicated, but once you get it working, it never fails...

Works as advertised and easy to install. Product took only a few minutes to hook up and worked we tried it the first time in rural Ecuador. Only thing if person is watching tv at home person on slingbox has to watch same thing.

Highly recommend to people who want to watch their recorded programs on an iPad.
