We purchased this product to be able to watch TV while we are in another country for an extended period of time. We haven't used it yet overseas, but anytime I'm out and tune in, it works wonderfully. Excellent product to have if you plan to travel abroad and can't live without your programs.

The Slingbox 500 allows me to watch TV just about anywhere on my Smart Phone, Tablet, Laptop & Desktop Computers. Setup was fairly easy and when I did run into a question, regarding hooking it up to an older television, I was pleasantly surprised by the fast, friendly and knowledgeable support I received when I called.

This product is amazing. I love watching my home cable tv on my cell phone, laptop, and iPad when traveling. The only problem is buffering which happens often depending on the strength of my wifi or cellular signal reception. Best buy geek squad did a good job with home installation which seem impossible to figure out.

Very cool. I love that it has built in wireless unlike my last Slingbox. The only thing that was a bummer was that I had to by a HDMI splitter because I have a Bose sound system which needs the HDMI feed from my Cable box; but so does the Slingbox. Once I purchased that it ran like a jet.

Great product. Set it up and hit the road. Never missed a minute of the show while traveling. Of course message and data rates applied. Experienced a little buffering with weaker cellular signals but stays connected.

I bought this box to be able to record my favorites shows while I work in the office. It was an excellent choice for my needs. Very stylish design. I like it.

Tell everyone I know about this product. We built a home in Belize and do not have cable there. I connected my Slingbox to my home cable and I am able to watch all of the channels via the internet in Belize. This is the greatest thing I have ever owned. Highly recommended !!!

It's a great idea, and it works fairly well. The only problem I have is that the app is a bit glitchy. If they make an app for Apple TV, and make the process smoother, it would get a perfect score

I have been very pleased with the slingbox. The menus and use of on screen remotes are a little annoying, but don't take away from the fact that I can watch everything from my Directv on my iPad.

I had been looking for a solution to my heavy travel schedule that allowed me access to my complete cable tv channel lineup. The slingbox has been perfect. The slingbox ios app has been the perfect answer for live tv access when i dont have access to my tv. I love this device.

I'm at work a lot and I'm a HUGE sports fan. Now I can keep up with my teams while I'm turning wrenches. I have no idea how I got by this long with out it!

Not bad product. The idea is great. When it works it's great. The interface of the remote control when away from home needs a lot of improvement

Works a little better than the previous version. I'd recommend you use the component outputs since using HDMI will not allow certain channels due to HDCP issues. Component has no HDCP issues and works very well.

Purchased the Slingbox500 for viewing programs while traveling. Tried it last month and it worked perfectly. We were a little concerned that there would be problems because we have DirecTV. No problems. Next month we will try it internationally.

This product is easy to setup and use. Best thing for keeping up with my shows. As an Expat in Europe, this provides English language programming from my home service provider with very little effort on my part.

Somewhat large initial investment but I save by not having to get him cable while he is away at school. He has downloaded the slingbox app for his phone so now he can watch it everywhere.

Great product. It does the job just fine. Would recommend. However I like the M2 better and has much more attractive price.

Very satisfied with this product. If your TV and receiver are on Energy Saving Mode, make sure you change this so that the receiver stays on for as long as you need it.

Bought the deluxe model (500) due to the WiFi capability but have been less than impressed. During our first trip since installing the Slingbox, we had a very difficult time staying connected and it froze frequently. The problem may be with our WiFi connection while on vacation. Hopefully that is the case since the mailn reason for buying the unit was for my son to connect while away at college. We will see in a couple of weeks.

My son in military and can watch all football games and all his favorite shows with this even from recorded shows on our tv best present I ever got him keeps him connected to home and the real world
