    I wish I had known about this sooner. It works so well, I'm reducing cable in our vacation home to bare service and will use the Slignbox to watch channels from home and premium/movie channels. It took less than seven minutes to set up and activate after downloading the firmware update. The wireless connection allowed me to place it in an out of way location. It supports both component and HDMI so you can connect to almost any television that is not more than about 12 years old.

    Thought I was going to be able to watch HDMI just like as if I was sitting on my couch at home. Unfortunely that's not the case, I returned it because it did not reach my expectations.

    The slingbox is a good device for a college student living afar to be able to watch local sports. Picture quality is mediocre - comparable to non-HD tv.

    Setup was simple. However due to copyright protection built into the HDMI many channels are blocked if you do not use the analog component cables

    I've tried a few Sling products and they always seem better on paper. It works, but it's a little clunky. If you can't miss the game, go to a bar or DVR.

    Tried watching the Packer game, however the reception in the Hotel was jerky and had breaks in reception. Not sure if this is the wifi connection or not.

    They still have a lot of bugs to fix especially for the $300 price. Set up the sling box several ways and still unable to get correct color. Now my color when I watch my tv is part black and white and some color. It's also not right when I watch on my iPhone or iPad. Tried to call customer service, which is only open during business hours M-F, and I was on hold for over an hour waiting to talk to someone and finally gave up. I would not recommend purchasing
