Trust me I’m not an apple hater but this thing is so overpriced it’s insane. For what you pay for this it should offer more protection as well as durability.

You can get other leather like IPad covers for about 1/8 of the cost of the Apple cover. I returned this cover for full refund and bought a very good alternative cover through Amazon.

I had the Apple Smart Cover first but returned it for the smart case. The cover looks really good but the case is leather and also protects the back from scratches. The leather just really feels good to the touch and I think it is worth the price difference.

The case doesn't keep attached to the iPad, it keeps falling off all the time. It does not look like an Apple product,,,,, so far the worst Apple experience I have ever had.

Got this for my new iPad Air and don't like it at all. I've already ordered a much cheaper one from eBay. The volume buttons and power button are almost impossible to operate. The bottom fold on the lid won't close, so I have to set it he iPad upside down to turn the screen off. The magnetic connection doesn't work at all either. And I've only had it a little over a month. I'd return it except Best Buy gave it to me because it took so long to complete the sale for the iPad. I wouldn't recommend it at all.

This would probably be a fine case, except that the associates that sold it to us gave us the wrong one, and it was the second time that happened. We bought an iPad air and the product that they sold us was for an iPad air 2. It seemed as though the associates did not know the products at all, as I previously said, it was the second one tthey sold us. They even put the iPad in the case for us, and didn't notice the problem until we realized that the camera was blocked by the case, and the volume buttons were lined up correctly.

I returned it, not good enough for the money. Its the first Apple product which did not fit the product properly.

Camera hole was in the wrong place for a 2 I had to cut my own hole for it to work on my iPad 85 dollars wasn'tworth it

Over priced for what you get, there are similar covers not made by Apple which are just as good.

Does not have rigid enough strength to sit up .and store only had 1 color available

You can get a off brand smart cover that works better for less money.

I purchased the new iPad air 2 this year, December 2014. The Apple Smart case has a bummer of a price but it fits perfect!! This case is made with a nice quality leather and overall is the best alternative to having no coverage. Nevertheless, it is a pretty penny. Therefore, before I made the plunge of a purchase, I searched everywhere online and locally. I read countless reviews and even took my iPad Air 2 into a Best Buy store for an unofficial "fitting." One of the reason I was attracted to the Air 2 was the size and lighter weight than other iPads or tablets. Stronger cases will provide much more protection from severe damage but they also make the iPad heavy and bulky in most cases. So in closing, if you are looking for something to provide a relative amount of protection from scratches, will not add extra pounds to the device, feels and looks good, the original Apple Smart case is the best route to go!

I've had this since the day I got my iPad air 2, which was a few months ago. It has held up well. It's sleek and stylish and it feels great to the touch.

I have had this case for a few weeks, and I am totally happy with it. It fits perfectly, feels great and is easy to hold. It is less bulky and more comfortable than the rubber cases. The only downside is that it is too pricy! I give it a 4 star because of the non-reasonably high price.

This is a great case. The midnight blue matches up wonderfully with the white and gold iPad Air 2. While I doubt it would offer much protection if you drop your iPad (if you want that kind of protection you will need to purchase a much bulkier case than this one) it will prevent the gold back of the iPad from getting scratched up from normal, daily use while still maintaing the overall weight and aesthetic balance of the iPad Air 2. If, like me, that kind of thing is important to you than this might be the case you are looking for.

I had to return it because I felt it would not protect my tablet if I dropped it.

I specifically asked for the cover for the new iPad. I even had my iPad at the store and a Geek Squad person put it on my iPad. I didn't see till I got home that it covers my camera ... that is unacceptable - I will be returning it to the store ... that is an annoying inconvenience!!!!!!!

Great fit and protects nicely and turns into a stand, so all in all a great buy and worth the money!

Bought this cover for my Apple iPad. Never fit properly. Buttons didn't line up and the case never completely fit the iPad snugly enough to keep it from falling out. Move on to other cases. This one is a waste of money!
