Dark blue leather color won't show when it gets dirty (which, lets face it, will happen inevitably to all cases). I've owned the red leather case before, and although it was gorgeous, it did get black around the edges. This case has a longer "clean" life. It IS leather, so clean & protect like you would any leather product.
