I was a bit upset when the Best Buy installers from the Lancaster, PA store showed up with my gas dryer and this gas line installation kit and told me that they couldn't install the gas line as they weren't certified to do this. I tried it myself and couldn't get the fitting correct so I ended up calling a plumber to come out and do it, so I guess in the long run I would have needed a plumber anyways, but I wish that BestBuy.com would be more specific about the installation. I suppose each local store can decide whether they want their delivery employees certified to install the gas line, this particular store decided not to.

No leakage and a solid connection. Still keeping an eye on this line.

Useless since it had the wrong size connector to my adapter. The third party installer tried to make it fir with 2 adapters but it resulted in the gas company shutting down our gas for 24 hours till a plumber came and installed the correct one! Cant return it because the plumber threw it away. My old dryer was only 9 years old, so make sure you have the right size valve. Cost me way more for the plumber to come out.

Installation of new gas line was required for installation of the new clothes dryer.

They know what size is needed to fit the dryer. And it’s just easier...

This was your typical gas line. Really not much to say about it.

Nice line hookup. Used quality parts to ensure seal was properly closed..

The gas line is not something unique ...it is like any other line so much to comment about.

The gas line was fine. The vent hose was loose and I had to tighten it myself.

Gets the job done. Expensive for a cable. Wished it came with the machine.

It was added to my order, but it did not work on my house

This line is required for the BestBuy install to a gas dryer. The photo shows multiple sizes of line, including the size needed for our home. However, the drivers in our area only bring one size, which is not the one that fits our home. So, install and the purchase of this line were a total waste of time. When I spoke with customer service, I was told that the drivers were supposed to carry multiple sizes of line as this is a generic item code. However, that is not the case in our area. Customer service and delivery experience were terrible, hours of my life and expense for a plumber to bring the correct size line and hook it up. Plus additional people in my house during a pandemic.

They delivered the wrong size gas line 5/8 instead of the correct size 3/8. So it was on me to take it back to exchange. Didn’t matter because they were delivery guys not installers. I was told just take it back for exchange. Which I did and after a little the store did the exchange and told me that the supervisor would credit the gas line back to me for the trouble, never happened.

Hose seems to be of good quality; fittings at the end are not.

Gas pipe was too short to place the machine in the proper position and i needed I needed to get a plumber to extend the gas pipe to make the gas line reach the machine. They should ahve brought different lengths of gas line.
