make sure you have this part if you're trying to hook up a gas dryer

Not much to ay other than this is part of the installation of the gas dryer

Didn't order this, it was a necessary add on for delivery and set up. Seems fine.

The parts were usable and weren't flimsy, so a win there. Good item to buy from BB.

Purchased a new dryer and needed these for them to hook it up when they delivered it.

So they installed us but some of the third-party company installers will try and tell you that your valve is not working properly and he’s to be replaced for extra money

I purchased a refrigerator, washer and gas dryer from Best Buy and purchased installation and the parts to hook up these appliances. Installation went off without any issues that I was aware of however dryer was damaged and replacement had to be scheduled. It just so happened that SoCal Gas has someone come by the next day and he mentioned that the gas line hook up was “improper”. Apparently I have a 3/8 inch gas line and Best Buy used a 5/8 inch gas hose and used multiple adapters which gas company said was incorrect. Duly informed Best Buy Geek Squad to bring correct sized hose but when replacement dryer was delivered the guy claimed he could not turn off the gas so could not replace the dryer. To make it worse Geek Squad told me I had to find a plumber to “fix” the stuck valve and also install the correct sized hose even though I had already paid for parts and installation. Got a plumber and he had no problem turning off the gas and put the correct 3/8 inch hose. He mentioned the 5/8 inch Best Buy used was for a gas range. 3rd trip from Best Buy got the dryer replaced and hooked up properly (we thought) as tested and working properly. About an hour later my wife smelled gas so immediately called the SoCal Gas and Best Buy to report. Gas Co had someone out in about an hour. Best Buy took the call, said someone would call back but no one ever did. Gas Co guy determined the gas was coming from the hose connection near the gas valve. This connection was working fine with no leaking gas so logical conclusion it that it came loose during the replacement process and Best Buy guy did not check after installing the replacement dryer. Needless to say this installation is an EPIC FAIL!
