    If you want your fridge connected and to see that its working before the delivery guys leave, you don't have a choice except to buy this overpriced hose. Since the rest of the delivery/setup experience was ok, I guess its not that big a deal.

    The geek squad hooked ours up and the next morning it had been leaking all night on the floor and into the basement. Don't know if it was product failure or installer failure. We had to go to the hardware store and get adapters to use.

    The person hooking our fridge up was not able to do it as there was a piece missing. We were told we could set up another install, but my husband went out and got the part himself rather than wait and have to be home for Best Buy to do it.

    The fridge was not installed because it did not fit in the space so I asked them to leave it where it was but they never gave me this that I bought. I don't know why they never gave it to me.

    This seems to be a $30 mandatory add-on item if you buy any refrigerator, even if the existing water line to the old fridge will work just fine with the new one. Disconnecting old line and connecting this one took all of two minutes
