Bad instructions

That is a no-no. Tape is only for pipe fittings. Compression fittings are not tapered. The tape can cause the copper ferrule in the compression nut to not crush fully against the nut. Do not follow this part of the instructions. Also, the $30 price is four times what it should cost.

Installation service sucks!

At no time did they ask what size would be needed and where is the fridge located in regards to the cold water line in which the item gets connected. The installers came and said it needed to be set up by geek squad first and then they can do their part. I ended up cancelling my order with best buy and had a local plumber do it for me. Do not use best buy for installations

We never got the waterline kit we paid for. He just changed the end and added a new connection to what we had. He did not change our old stainless steel waterline. We paid for the kit but did not get it. I would not recommend you purchase this and get taken.

Unnecessary but forced to purchase

There is an existing connection so I don’t feel an add-on like this is necessary, but I’m guessing “liability” in using the old connection is an excuse for them to make money on unnecessary add-one. After the delivery team left, I found the new hose unused on the counter. Go figure.

Communication between the warehouse and The order placed on the webpage resulted in the refrigerator being delivered before the waterline which then required moving the refrigerator to install it.Definitely very poor communication and consistently set appointments and then they cancel them for unknown reasons.Stay away!

do not buy from best buy VERY DISAPOINTED

Yes I had to install myself after several no show from best buy installers with scheduled appts. They said system errors. I waited and rescheduled for 1 month and finally said F--IT give me my 140.00 back for installation i paid extra for and we did it ourselves. So we now have our hook up thanks to US, Me, Ourselves for hooking it up.. So yeah works great.

Will Not Fit

During the online purchase it was recommended to get this hose to complete this installation. I had to get another waterline hose and extra fittings the next day at the home improvement store. Now I need to return the stainless hose, but the 3rd party contract delivery team took the box it came in.
