It is necessary to have a quality installation kit so that you can use your new dishwasher -- in this case -- a new Maytag three tier dishwasher.     If your buying a new dishwasher, you will need this kit. We were advised by the sales man to get it. If they deliver your dishwasher and install it you will need this kit if your plumbing is wrong or if they cannot install it and they will leave without installing it. I have not bought a new dishwasher for over 25 years, so things have changed. so, just remember to pick up this kit when you buy a dishwasher. You DON'T WANT A DISHWASHER sitting in the middle of your kitchen until you go back and buy this!!!! YOU CAN ALWAYS TAKE THE KIT BACK FOR A REFUND IF IT IS NOT USED!!!!!
