||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely required, and done well with it, however, installer ran into problems, couldn't use kit hose, luckily I had purchased a connection hose and adapter for prior DW still in plastic laid on my countertop and he used those. My DW installed 2005, plumbing for hook up from 1987. You might want to do what I did which I did because I read a review that stressed this, you can always take your extra hose/adapter back. You don't want this to be an issue.
