The professional installer from Pacific Sales did an outstanding job installing the dishwasher and 6' Dishwasher Kit. No leaks, and the water is free-flowing without obstructions.

Mandatory purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My Best Buy salesperson said that the installation kit was mandatory and that the kitchenaid dishwashers have proprietary fittings and a universal kit would not work. The installation tech told me that was a lie - and showed me that the kit said "universal". I guess it is a good product, I don't see it and did not do the installation myself, but the dishwasher is working great and I have no leaks so I consider it to be a success!

I interacted with three staff members during the transaction and was impressed with their attention to the sales floor and the individual customers. Ash was my checkout person and was outstanding! I will use Best Buy first for anything I need in electronics. Great experience!

Don't need it.

I don't think you would need the kit if you can reuse the power cord from the old dishwasher, it would be cheaper to get the waterline separately.

Great idea for a kit with limited application.

However, I thought this kit was a bit expensive compared to other kits other retailers would include with the purchase of a dishwasher. Plus, if your dishwasher hook ups are more than 6 feet away you'll need a longer hose. This is a good kit for a basic close install.
