If you already have a dishwasher and the hookup is in good condition, you may not need this kit. The Bosch we bought comes with a specialized cord and the waterline from our old dishwasher was in good shape. We only used a few pieces of the kit.

No good reason so i canceled and went back to Best Buy who brought everything that was needed with the delivery and installation.

I didn't know if I would need the kit or not but being forty-five minutes from the store I opted to include it. I was very glad I had because I ended up using most of the kit. The parts I used were perfect and they saved me trips to a hardware store.

In order to work on them one has to access the front, the sides, and the rear of the unit. On install, it's ok to have short cords, short supply and discharge hoses. However, when repairing a unit, it's great to be able to access the back w/out all those disconnections.

Pretty much comes with everything you would have with an existing dishwasher. But if your getting this with your first ever dishwasher then I highly recommend it.

It comes with a new water supply hose and a new electrical cord, which help make the installation relatively easy.
