My only concern was that the kit contained more than I needed and seemed kind of wasteful, but certainly was convenient in that I did not have to make multiple trips to the hardware store in order to have the correct connectors.

I don't know if you have the option to use your old parts if BB does the install but you don't want to do that if installing yourself. Buy this kit and do the install correctly to avoid any problems with leaky connections, etc.

Not to mention that haul away of the old equipment is part of the process.
