I was required to purchase a new power cord and dryer vent kit for my new LG dryer. I was also required to buy a new set of water lines for the matching LG washing machine. The power cord is solidly made The dryer vent kit is an upgraded from the cheap expandablt vent only stuff you get from the hardware stores. The Stainless Steel water lines are a better grade from the less expensive rubber hoses and are rated to last much longer. I received a substantial discount on these items at the tinme of purchase as a complete package deal.

Wasn't thrilled about having to purchase this just because Best Buy requires new hoses and dryer vents if you get in home installation. Already spent $2k+ on the washer and dryer so we figured why even fight it. We had just moved into a new house in March and replaced all the accessory products for our exciting old set. This was just a requirement buy but I'm one of those people that likes everything new if I'm going to invest that much in a new purchase so I wasn't too bent out of shape. Works well, no leaks or other problems.

With a second floor washer, even with a leak tray, avoiding a leak is important. I am a fan of flexable metal hoses over the rubber ones as an extra safety measure. While I have never had a washing machine leak, a friend had $6,000 in damage when the leak entered the air conditioning duckwork and reuqired it be replaced. I prefer to reduce the possibility of a problem.

Easy to install and pretty basic to use, so nothing too fancy, just a solid product. I did already have a set, so I wish this wasn't included in the installation price.
