If you are buying a new washer you definitely should replace the old hose. This hose is stainless steel reinforced and flexible. Should be much more durable than an ordinary rubber hose which will crack over time.

These hoses are built to excellent quality standards and look great. Definitely a must have for any installation of a new washer.

I didn't end up using these as I had an identical pair in place already from a previous install. The installers checked them out and said they were in great shape and I could return the new set. That alone should show the quality of these hoses. Mine still look/perform as brand new. I have no problem with these being auto added when you set up a delivery/install because this is one item you don't want to ignore. If they're not in top condition, replace them!

We got the steel line to ensure that it will not degrade the same way a rubber hose would. We have the washer dryer in our mud room which has hardwood floor. We do not want water all over the place. This line gives us peace of mind.

You're supposed to replace your hoses every decade or so. So these were perfect for me. High quality, and stainless steel so they'll last even longer. Easy to install!

Love this machine, great design, and durability. Also thoroughly cleans washed loads with a literally no loud sounds. Runs quietly and the tune for when the load is finished is a nice touch.

READ FOR INSTALL TIP! Great replacement but no install instructions! EXTRA RUBBER WASHERS (remember this) Upon initial install, which is simple, the hose leaked from under the connection to the shower head! I started the return process, was about to give a bad review and then scrolled down to see if anyone else had a similar issue. Turns out, after looking at another Amazon review, that the EXTRA RUBBER WASHERS are there to add into the base of your shower head and the hose connection!!! Even though it already comes with a rubber washer inside, add the 2nd one, tighten as much as possible and VOILA!!! no more leaks!
