I prefer this controller over the original. It frees up my phone and feels much better in my hands. The only drawback is the cost!

Wow. 1000 Nits , what a big difference in brightness. Was using an IPhone. Great feel and distance was improved from original controller. Wish the price was lower...

First off lets start off with the build quality which is excellent! It feels very tight and well put together! It even feels a little heavier than you would expect but this is a good thing considering it's an all in one unit! DJI is on top of their game as far as updating to add new features! With that being said there is a couple of downsides which one of it is it doesn't seem to have the same range as the standard controller even though it is advertised to have the same range on DJI's web site! If this is a concern of yours I would do a search on YT for DJI Smart Controller vs Standard Controller to see what others say about it! The forums suggest that the power output has been decreased to conserve on battery! The other issue I have with it is the android OS seems a little buggy and I have personally had it lock up on me during flight. DJI's birds seem to run better on IOS devices but I understand why they weren't able to incorporate that into this controller!

Easy to set up and connect. Screen works much better than my phone or tablet in sunlight. No additional wires to hook up. Nicely built unit. A little expensive.

This is the best drone controller I have owned this far. Easy to connect to my Mavic Pro 2 drone. Joy sticks feel comfortable to use especially with the engraved edges prevent skipping to the fingers. Changes from empty to full charge in 1 hour or less. Light weight feel. Audio and video are crisp and clear. Transferring data from drone to 128gb SD card is a smooth transition and the speed is adequate. All outlets on the controller with great as described. Easy to update firmware. Easy to use and understand features built in to the controller. This was with the cost.

This is a very useful remote control, beautiful screen, easy to use, for me, it better then the original one.

Battery life is good. Glad I made this purchase instead of relying on my phone. Easy to use even for a beginner

After using and fighting my phone for awhile, out of frustration I bought this. Man I'm glad I did. It was easy to set up, the picture is bright, and it has a really solid feel to it. I would suggest the hood, and neck rope to keep from dropping it. The hood helps keep the sunlight glare off your screen. This remote has a much better connection than the one that comes with the drone. Also no annoying phone calls, texts, or emails to distract you, or interrupt you while flying.

I have been using the DJI smart controller for approximately two years now. I find that the flight range is approximately 20% greater than the original controller and to me. It just feels better. The large screen on the controller gives you very clear pictures and easy to read data from your drone.

This makes it so much easier. Large screen and easy to see in daylight. Expensive but worth it!

I bought this controller because I wanted something with better resolution and better functionality than using my phone. I just met all my expectations. The screen is bright enough that even out in the sun I can see clearly where as my phone was very difficult to see under many conditions.

This Smart Controller is awesome. The screen allows you to see pics and videos even in the bright sun. I can pop my Mavic Pro 2 up in a matter of seconds and no longer have to wrestle to get my Samsung Note into the stock controller. It has many features that I haven't used yet - but I am extremely happy with this.

I've been waiting for this for a long time. Is it expensive? Yes. But i saved gift cards from xmas and my birthday. Then i used my 10% off discount Best Buy gave me for the month of my birthday. So it was worth it. Still learning all the ins and outs, but so much easier just turning this controller on instead of setting up my ipad mount and plugging in cords

The smart controller allows you to see the screen in daylight, sunny conditions. I was just using my Android phone, but had a lot of trouble seeing what my drone was seeing. Plus, its faster, you dont have to attach your phone and fumble around, just turn it on, and connect. No cons that I have found yet, except the price.

Still trying to work out the bugs, and find the full functionality. Currently having an issue with range on this controller vs the DJI controller that came with my Mavic Air 2. I'm hoping it's user error. The main reason I purchased this was to be able to use the DJI Goggles with the Air 2 via the HDMI connection, and it has been working great. Overall though, a great controller, with lots of functionality and control.

I have to say the screen on this thing is BRIGHT. No phone or tablet I believe could compare to the brightness when outdoors. Transmission strength seems to be the same as the regular Mavic 2 controller. Overall I highly recommend it.

Item works as stated, quality item, quickly shipped. I have flown approximately 12 times and it has worked flawlessly. Really like no cables just turn on drone and turn on controller and your ready to go, screen very bright easy to see on sunny day.

Better option than using your cell phone. My Samsung phone is a bit to large for the grabber on the main control unit so I opted to spend more and buy this item. It works great.

Best addition to my drone! Used to have issues with phone connectivity. Then last draw was lost footage because of the phone. I’m glad I got the controller

This smart controller is not necessary, but it is a nice addition. I like the extra screen brightness and not having to remove my phone from it's case to use the standard controller. It makes setting up for flights quicker and easier.
