    If you have a penchant for purchasing only OEM accessories for your products, then you understand why you have to have this iPad Smart Cover and not any other manufacturer's iPad cover. It covers the iPad's screen when the device is not at use. The iPad awakes automatically when the cover is opened. That's it.
