When I bought my iPad air, I was sort of in a hurry, and didn't take a lot of time looking at cases for it. I knew I wanted a case to protect it, but didn't really know much about what all each one of the rack did. The salesman recommended the apple smart case, so I bought it - for full price. I will say that being that it's an Apple product, I'm not too shocked at the price, but I probably would have selected else for less money. It does exactly what it's advertised to do - you open the cover from the iPad, and the iPad wakes up. You close the cover, the iPad goes to sleep. You also have two choices for propping the iPad up too, but that's about it. I'm not even sure how well it'd survive a drop or if the iPad is fully protected in there, but, it does have the Apple logo on the back, so that makes it worth it, right? I do think there are far more functional cases out there for less.

This product works very well as a screen protector as well as a stand for the iPad Air 2.

This is the best cover if you are interested in protecting the screen while transporting in a backpack and providing a simple way to prop it up for viewing. This display doesn't protect the back or provide protection from drops or impacts and that is fine with me because I am more interested in minimal size and this is very thin.

This cover is made for the iPad Air 2 by Apple to the quality is reflected in the product. It fits well and works well to protect the face of the tablet and turns on and off when you open or close the cover. I had a similar cover/case for the older iPad2 and it served me well.

This is my second smart case. Bought one for my iPad Air and now for my Air 2. The case is light, sleek, and protects my iPad. The smart technology is great - knows when you open and close the case and your iPad turns on /off. Definitely recommend this case.

I was told that the smart cover is a better choice than the case if you want to keep your iPad light and slim (they are exactly the features of iPad, right?). The design of the magnet that holds iPad closely is much more than expected. However, the weakness is that you cannot let your iPad stand on short edges.

Great case for I-pad I do like the automatic off feature when you close the case. The only thing it is $79.00 plus tax a little pricey for just a case but considering the product is especially for this product it fits and works well.

This iPad cover is perfect. It has a slim profile for my iPad Air and fits all the buttons. It has a really nice sleep/ wake feature with a built in magnet when opening and closing. I tried other types of covers that said they were for the iPad Air but didn't fit right. You can't go wrong with this one. A must have for anyone who doesn't plan on being rough on their iPad or dropping it.

I bought this for my friend as a birthday gift. He likes it so much. It just fits his ipad air perfectly. And the design of this case is so awesome! Makes the ipad stand there and you can watch a video without holding it. You can enjoy your ipad when you eat. Perfect!

A little pricey compared to some of the alternatives, but it has held up great. Doesn't add to much weight and the way it clasp shut is nice so it does not keep flipping open. It aligns properly, it's a sleek, smooth fit with no gaps and the stand works perfectly.

Love my red cover and the protection it offers. Easy to see whenever I lay it down.

I bought the black Smart Cover to compliment my gold iPad air and I love the sleek look of it! It offers nice protection for the screen when the iPad isn't in use. Plus you can clean the screen with the soft side. I do wish the magnet was a little stronger for when it's flipped to the back, it's often not magnetizing to the back of the iPad. However the hinge is strong and it's not as if the cover will actually fall off the iPad without you pulling it off. So overall I do enjoy the Smart Cover and would recommend it to everyone with and iPad.

We had several smart covers on the family's and my iPads. I absolutely love the sleep/wake function of smart covers without adding too much bulk. The external material is easy to clean, just use some wet wipes to remove dirt/dust. The interior material can be used to clean the screen (some sort of material similar to lens clothes surface). Highly recommend to anyone with iPads!
