Picked the Smart Cover for my new iPad Air2 instead of the leather Smart Cover mainly for the price but also I have a leather one on my iPad 3. The new cover is just as durable so far and I can't see any difference between the two. It does the same purpose as leather but half the price. Really a great protection for the screen when I'm not using it. Works great for standing up and watching videos too.

Case protects and becomes a upright stand for iPad. Not bulky but slim in design. This is my second smart case nice and functional. Offers great protection.

It does as intended. It covers the screen when not in use, held on by magnets, and folds to prop up the iPad Air. It will come off but not easily. If you just want an apple cover without adding much weight to the iPad Air, this is it. It does not protect the back from scratches. If you want something to cover your iPad Air front and back and don't care if it is an apple product, there are less expensive cases that work well, prop it up, and offer a variety of colors.

The case works great in protecting my Ipad, fits very snug and still very easy to use the side buttons etc. My only issue is that you don't have a lot of options on how it can be held up. I find myself holding it more in my hands rather than propping it up. Overall though it does it's job greatly.

I love the red color of this iPad Air smart cover. It adds no weight yet does the job of turning my iPad Air off and on. However, does not protect the back

This is the second smart cover I've bought. First was for my iPad3. Later I replaced that smart cover with a keyboard from Zagg that had a metal case that covered the iPad. The iPad Air is so light that putting a weight case on it seemed to be like putting a pig on a lipstick. Im shopping for a tidy little keyboard for my iPad and iPhone that will tuck into my purse and leave my iPad air unrestricted. One of the nice features is the smartness of the cover. It puts the iPad to sleep when it is closed and easily attaches with magnets making removal effortless.

the Smart cover is the only cover I buy for my iPad, it's simple and light weight. No iPad protection but covers the glass and provides a basic stand

I wanted to protect my new i-pad from damage when dropped and protect the glass cover. The cover fits perfectly and is working well. Reasonable cost.

I bought an iPad 2 back when the original iPad got its first upgrade. I also bought the Apple Smart Cover and loved it, but it was slightly different than this iPad Air 2 version. it folded to a smaller equilateral triangle using 4 folds instead of the 3 used in the Air version, which has different length sides (isosceles). less folds makes for a larger and potentially more stable stand, but the extra fold in the older version made the folded cover triangle stay together better because there was an overlap one one side. I found this useful when I was holding in my left hand and lying on my back on the couch. the folded case helped stabilize my grip on the side of the iPad. but this put some pressure on the triangle. the Air version often collapses in this position if you knock the last fold away from the magnet near the base while adjusting you grip (not an issue when resting on a hard surface as a stand). plus the larger isosceles folding style makes it less comfortable to wrap my hand around because the triangle is longer and pointier. otherwise the magnet that connects to the actual iPad works well in both versions and makes it easy to discard the cover all together. I still wish the Air version was designed more like the original.

Fits like a glove and provides some protection from spills and objects. I wanted something pretty minimalist that wouldn't add bulk or heft, so this works great. Obviously, not meant to protect against drops or large objects so if you're looking for something of that order this is not for you.

While this product doesn't offer as much protection as some of the bulkier ones, it does protect the screen. I particularly like the sleek design.

I purchased this for my iPad and love this cover because it does not make the iPad bulky and I like that it shuts the ipad down when closed.
