Not nearly as good as a standard ipad smart cover

Protected the screen and also folded to double as a stand. Purchased a Smart Cover for iPad mini it protects the screen but is horrible as a stand either upright or lying down.

Green smart color

The only complaint I have is that when you fold it to make a stand it props the mini up about 1 inch. I wish it propped it up a little more. It is nice enough though, and pretty expensive, so I will use it as is.
