Have tried other case covers, and won't be doing that again. The magnets work well and line up perfectly, easy to fold into stand, holds up to minor abuse and stays on. iPad automatically comes on (and goes off) on opening and closing.

Needed a replacement case for my iPad Mini 3 and saw this case on clearance for $44. The regular price was almost $65. Fits perfectly and feels good in your hand. Great purchase.

I like the cover a lot because it attaches magnetically. You just put the side of it up to the spine of your iPad, and it attaches. It closes securely and activates the lock by itself. Also, it folds up to be used as a stand. Perfect.

Bought this to compliment the ipad 2 and its a perfect fit. I love the magnet flap. My daughter said she was looking for something colorful but not flamboyant. Nailed it on this one.

This item, Apple - Smart Cover for Apple iPad mini, is an excellent simple screen protector. It is subtle and sleek, and has more use than just a cover: it has microfiber inside to help clean up finger oils (though by design it has some areas that do not get clean), and it folds up to function as an iPad stand as well. I love using the fold up option - it's magnetic so it won't wear out, and it gives my iPad just the right angle to set on a table and view the screen without having to hover over it. Don't tap too hard when using the cover like this though, as the magnets aren't super strong and it can collapse. Possibly the coolest thing is that, as I mentioned, this thing uses magnets (I know how they work, sorry Juggalos). Which means there's no velcro, adhesive, or plastic clips to break or wear out. Overall, this is a great investment. It will help keep your screen clean and damage-free, plus it looks nice and doubles as a stand. I would recommend this to anyone with an iPad mini.

I would totally love my Ipad mini smart casi, except that the stand function occasionally "gives way" and doesn't keep my Ipad standing up. This causes my Ipad to fall over.

Offers great protection for my iPad, like how it is a tri type top. Haven't dropped it yet and that is a good thing not sure how it will hold but im sure it will be fine

Apple has constructed a very durable and tablet friendly case for the iPad mini. When closed it puts the iPad mini to sleep and upon opening wakes it up for instant usage. It holds the iPad mini perfectly from edge to edge.

This cover is very sleek and easy to use. I received an otter box case as well when I got my iPad - this case is much easier to carry & hold when reading a book on an app.

I like it, its a good cover for i-Pad, it works OK as a stand, its light, easy to use. Color is great! It makes my mini even better looking.

This is an excellent case for the iPad mini 2. It is slim and simple but offers good protection for both front and back. The leather is soft and feels good when holding the iPad (with cover folded around the back).

I originally bought a Logitech case/cover that not only protected the screen but also covered the sides and back. It had some discoloration and felt too bulky. I returned it and thought, what the heck, try this one. Glad I did... despite the price (which, come on... it's $40 for some plastic and magnets)... this cover really is amazing. It did just what I need it to do-- protect the screen. Moreover, it does so in a simple, elegant manner-- simply put, it doesn't get in the way. And if it does, you can remove it and reattach it effortlessly. I purchased an inexpensive hard zipper case for when I take my iPad mini out of the house... the Smart Cover is unobtrusive enough to fit in the case, no problem As a stand, it's not very solid, but the iPad mini is lightweight enough to where it usually stays propped. The only other (minor) downside worth mentioning... the interior of the cover is a microfiber substance and does a good job picking up grease and dirt... which it then re-deposits on the screen. Whenever I start to see two tell-tale "grooves" on my screen (the outline of the flexible "hinges" of the cover), I know it's time to clean the inside of the cover.

With or without a case, it's always used. Seems something is always being stacked, dropped, or spilled on top. Even prevents issues from other stuff sharing a case.

I had the regular Smart Cover before purchasing this. I liked the Smart Cover however this smart case provides much better protection against drops and also helps prevent scratches on the back of the divice.

This cover is attractive, does not take up much room, but is not a protective cover in case of drops, so I would recommend it for an adult and not for a child.

it covers the screen when closed and stays closed pretty good. it doesn't cover sides or back so there is no protection from a fall. it comes of easily as well.

It does what it says it supposed to do. I have no complaints. It doesn't protect the back from scratches, but I'm sure that's obvious. My main concern is not messing up the screen and it protects that very well!

I bought this Smart Cover to go with a clear snap on back case. It's exactly what I wanted and I love the color. Even better was the "open box" price. I ordered online, it came fast and it looks brand new.
