Overall, I have had really outstanding service from Geek Squad. This was not one of those times. A smart deadbolt lock was to be installed. The guy opened the box and took the old lock apart to place the new one. He called me over to let me know he couldn't do the install because the deadbolt throw was too long and he wasn't able to modify the door to make it fit. I said ok and sent him on his way for me to figure it out later. When I reexamined the problem, I saw that literally Step 1 of the instructions said to twist the deadbolt body to adjust the length of the throw to fit the door. There's no way he could have missed that, especially since the deadbolt is packaged in the shorter configuration which my door requires! I'm convinced he just didn't want to do the install, twisted the lock to make it longer, and created the bogus story to get out of doing the work. It cost me so much time and effort to wait over a week for the appointment only for him to bail on doing the work. Super unprofessional! I ended up having to do the whole thing myself. What a pain!

The agent installed my new modem and router and connected most everything I have. He also installed my new smart lock. He is very knowledgeable and helpful and said if I had any questions or problems to contact him again

Door lock was not operating properly. They came and replaced the item and installed a new one. It works perfectly.

Three things were supposed to be installed. Ring flood light over garage, nest thermostat and door lock. He did the garage light fine, couldn’t do next because of my home’s wiring and didn’t do door lock because my door had a closing issue. My husband asked if he could wait5 minutes and he would fix the catch and the technician said he had other things to do and couldn’t wait. He couldn’t do the thermostat (not his fault) so he saved some time. Took my husband 10 minutes to fix door. Now we’re returning lock.
