Door lock

Third-party installations are always bad

The installer damaged the door and wasn't able to install the door lock because he said it didn't fit. This was a complete waste of time and a lie because I was able to figure out a way to install it myself. What was the point of Total Tech again?

Bad third party installation

Come in day earlier or day not was scheduled. They couldn’t install this lock. I returned it. Bought from other store and installed by another installer

Nobody shows up without notification
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.In the first visit they couldn't install the smart lock because the door located in the garage that gives access to the laundry room does not have a second hole. I decided to schedule a second appointment and explained the issue to the Geek Squad agent. For the second visit they did not show up without any notification. I am very disappointed.

No show up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Best Buy install team come to my house and they can’t install it because they don’t know how to trim the door, I call to the customer services they are rescheduled for me another week and that time nobody show up to my house I just waiting for all day long just waste my time!!!

No show/no call for several appointments
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Several appointments were scheduled and confirmed in advance and no one EVER showed up or called on those days. I am wheelchair-bound and had to hire someone to come sit with me all day on each of the appointment days, all for nothing. I canceled my entire purchase and had the Total Tech Support plan canceled and refunded.

Could not install

Horrible Experience!! 3rd Party

The technician said that he was not familiar with Yale locks and it was evident by his sloppy work. He left screws out, and also damaged my door frame and didn’t tell me. If that wasn’t enough, he left sawdust all over my floor and he complained the entire time. They had to send another technician out to clean up his mess.

Awful seevice from install guys

Still waiting for someone to fix this door lock

Yes, a SECOND tech came to look at it and determined that it was a defective product but two months later I am still waiting for a resolution. I am told my replacement is coming Aug 30, but without installation. What good will that do me? I have no clue how to install the door lock. Almost 2 months later, I am still waiting for a resolution.

Two times they have tried to install this lock

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nov 9 First person failed-not sure if it was his fault. two weeks later: Second person missed 4 hour appt. window and called me 35 minutes later to ask if they could come on an hour or so. SInce I actually have a life I said NO. Dec. 1 They are sending a third person today -what a mess.

Poor service

I am very disappointed. This is not the standard that I have experienced with the Geek Squad in the past. I now have two smart locks that do not work and have paid twice for the installation.

Don't buy unless you can install yourself.

Geek squad tried to install when they were here for something else but couldn't due to not having the tools needed. So 2 months later still sits in the box.

Worst service ever

It confirmed it for the 10th of May. Despite confirmation the web page insists that I schedule an appointment. Tried it again for the 12 of May. Get a call from Geek squad at 8 that they have the lock not in stock that I ordered 4 weeks ago. I go online and check availability of the lock and it is in stock.

Sub-contractor was sent out initially

It took a while and many phone calls to finally get someone from the geek squad to come out. Eddie V from the geek squad came out and didn’t leave until the job was complete and did a wonderful & professional job. Maybe you shouldn’t sub contract with just anyone ???

the worst installation ever

The installation was not in a straight line, one would think that they would use a level. They failed to connect my wifi to the app. When I called to have it corrected, the next available date was two weeks away. My neighbor came over and did the installation and fix it.
