I purchased a new smartlock from best buy and as a member of total tech I expected them to install it. They had no clue.

Could not be fixed & was told I would get a refund

Installation in NYC is a sham. Terrible service. I’ll prepared. Just do it yourself.

Do not use geek squad. They will ruin things and not cover damages.

This saga began when I won a TV at a charity raffle. Bottom line, it was bought via Amazon and the screen was cracked. Amazon offered no help citing BestBuy's policy on return and refund. So as a last resort I spoke with Geek Squad customer service about warranty coverage. No resolution there because screen was cracked and that’s not covered by warranty. Very helpful guy, Steve, suggested that I visit the store and talk with a customer service manager. I did, visit the BestBuy in Salem NH. I was greeted by Joshua who listened, understood, and committed to help me. With the support from his manager, Zay, they got the job done. Not easily on their end, but both stuck with it and saw it to the end. They ended up exchanging the damaged TV and I have one that works like a charm. I gotta tell you, these three guys restored my faith in Best Buy. Glad we finally brought the saga to a fair end.

I was scheduled for a smart lock install on 6/16/18. I received a call from Joe, the install technician on 6/15/18 asking if i was available to have it done that day instead and within the next 30 minutes. This worked out good for me. Joe did a fantastic job,went over everything, cleaned up, and was a great guy to work with. This is my 2nd time using Geek Squad for an Installation. 1st time was for a large full motion tv mount. I have been very lucky, I have never had a problem with the professionalism or quality of work. It really seems to be a gamble with who you will get, since Best Buy contracts out so many different companies to do these jobs. Just hoping my luck doesn't run out, cuz i do intend on using Geek Squad again

The technicians were very careful to install my new smart lock. They made improvements needed from the previous lock and all works better than before.

The agent didn't know how to show me how to change the codes. He didn't know what he was doing. He had to read the instructions as he was installing it.

Awsome job had alinement issues n the tek handled it with ez low stress didnt stop till perfect n working on all are fones very happy well worth it !!!

The August WiFi Smart Lock was installed Very Professionally. The Tech took the time to show me all of the settings and connected it to my WiFi
