    The install team was fast, professional, and top-top-notch. I highly recommend. The only "ding" was our first scheduled install date came and went and there was some mix-up. But the store fixed it and two days later we were installed.

    Smart thermostat installation

    Overall this was a terrible experience that I hope to never go through again. It started with my appointment being cancel several times. I would call to schedule it and the next morning I would get a text that it was cancelled. This happened at least four times. Eventually, they scheduled a third party service to come in to install the smart thermostat. When the thermostat was finally installed I was excited and trusted the everything was good. As I continued my day I started to noticed the temperature of the house was getting warmer and warmer. Turns out that my AC was not actually working and the installer did not bother to test it. I had to call Geek Squad and explain this to them. They wanted to send a tech out the next day. I live in Texas and it was 103 F outside and the house was just as hot. Since I work from home I had to do meetings on that heat. Eventually Geek Squad got in contact with the installer who proceed to text me. He sent me pics of the connections I previously had and pretty much advised me to reconnect the old thermostat my self. I did it since I could not stand the heat and thankfully it worked. This was a worst in-home service I had ever seen. The next day I returned the product to the store.

    I had two Honeywell thermostats installed in my home. One is upstairs and one is downstairs. It works flawlessly and it looks very cool. It’s a smart thermostat so it works great and I can adjust the temperature through my IPhone. Since I live in a hot climate it’s a great asset to my electric bill.

    The agent did a good job installing my smart thermostat's wiring, and hardware, assisted me with the app setup for control via my Alexa app on my phone, and all worked out fine.

    After waiting for the service people to arrive at the last minute the company called and stated they could not come. After telling them I was not available any other day they still insisted that I would have to reschedule. I hung up and contacted the "Geek Squad" and they were checking into the subcontractor that was scheduled.By the time I hung up with them I received an email stating that a company was coming within the next 4 hours. NOT such a great day. If they send someone who knows what they are doing I would recommend but they should check on their subcontractors!!

    Thermostat install was done perfectly, there were some differences between old model and new model (which needs power) and they addressed the same and verified the wifi operations are working fine and fixed to the wall neatly

    Help to setup NEST thermostat & App

    Ray came out to show us how to set and use our NEST thermostat correctly and to connect it to the WiFi and our phones. He was very patient with us old folks and explained everything in detail about the NEST APP and physically programmed ir on our phones.

    Air conditioner stopped working an hour after they left. I called all day to get someone to come back out. I was hung up on, transferred all over and ending up at the same place I started. Then was told someone could come back out in 2 days. It was 92 and 70% humidity. When I finally got to speak with a manager I was told someone would come the next day if I went to a store to pick up a replacement thermometer. I had the original shipped to me and at this point it was 8 PM. I finally ordered one from Amazon and installed it myself. J

    Love the thermostat. Directions are relatively easy to follow, and temperature can be adjusted from my cell phone. Geek squad member was very professional and patient in teaching me to use.

    Geek squad never disappoints. The tech was very nice and polite. He made sure to ask me all his questions and voice any concerns before he ever took out a single tool. He was very quick and neat with his install as well.

    I’ve had really good luck with Geek Squad installations but when it comes to the third party installers I find myself having to go back and fix something every single time. On the Ecobee, the installer only screwed in one of the 2 screws for the face plate. I see the challenge he was dealing with but he should have let me know so we could come up with a better solution. After he installed the unit and left I noticed hot air coming out of the vents. I messed with the settings on the Ecobee to no avail. Now my place feels like a sauna and I’m told the earliest someone could come was the following day. At this point I take the Ecobee off the wall and noticed the Y and W wires are crossed. After turning off the breaker and switching the cables everything was copasetic. I can’t imagine how someone without basic electrical knowledge would have coped with the situation. The only thing worst than no a/c is uncontrollable hot blowing air blasting out of the vents on a 100 degree day. Even changing fan mode to off did nothing. It’s as if the entire unit was frozen in a hot air idle mode.

    Silviu And the other tech were amazing.some of the items bought did not work out and could not be done. The techs went out of their way to make things work. Amazing teamwork!!!

    No one could figure out how to connect the wires i had hanging from the wall.. i had 3 wires.. one did nothing and the other 2.. one green went into red tab and one red went into white tab or something to that effect... took him a while to figure out but he did it.. i am so greatfuk

    Richard did an outstanding job installing three smart thermostats at my home in Ivins, Utah. He went the extra mile when a problem came up with the third thermostat, which he quickly identified and solved. I am very happy with the service he provided.

    My experience with Geek Squad was very disappointing. We purchased two smart thermostat last month and set up an appointment with Geek Squad for installation. We were told by the Geek Squad employee that he couldn’t install the smart thermostat because there wasn’t a c wire present in wiring. So I purchased a c wire adapter as recommended by Geek Squad and scheduled another appointment with them to install the smart thermostat and c wire adapter. On the second appointment the Geek Squad employee inform us that he wasn’t qualified or trained on installing c wire adapters. So I had to pay a hvac company over two hundred to install the smart thermostat. Oh wait there’s more, there was a c wire present in the wiring and there was no need for a c wire adapter. I contacted Best Buy Total Tech support, which I pay $199 a year for the membership and I haven’t heard from them at all. I’m very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend Geek Squad to anyone.
