    Called at the last minute to cancel

    After waiting for the service people to arrive at the last minute the company called and stated they could not come. After telling them I was not available any other day they still insisted that I would have to reschedule. I hung up and contacted the "Geek Squad" and they were checking into the subcontractor that was scheduled.By the time I hung up with them I received an email stating that a company was coming within the next 4 hours. NOT such a great day. If they send someone who knows what they are doing I would recommend but they should check on their subcontractors!!

    Terrible service from Geek Squad

    My experience with Geek Squad was very disappointing. We purchased two smart thermostat last month and set up an appointment with Geek Squad for installation. We were told by the Geek Squad employee that he couldn’t install the smart thermostat because there wasn’t a c wire present in wiring. So I purchased a c wire adapter as recommended by Geek Squad and scheduled another appointment with them to install the smart thermostat and c wire adapter. On the second appointment the Geek Squad employee inform us that he wasn’t qualified or trained on installing c wire adapters. So I had to pay a hvac company over two hundred to install the smart thermostat. Oh wait there’s more, there was a c wire present in the wiring and there was no need for a c wire adapter. I contacted Best Buy Total Tech support, which I pay $199 a year for the membership and I haven’t heard from them at all. I’m very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend Geek Squad to anyone.

    The ecobee smart thermostat was installed quickly. Its features were explained. Working for 23 days. I hope to see reduction on entergy bill. Glad i have total tech

    Easy to operate with my Alexa app, temps stay as set. I now have 3,one for each unit. love them. Plus I got a great price and installation at no charge with my Tech Support subscription.

    Do not recommend. Call a real hvac professional. They sent someone out and burned a fuse from allowing the wires the touch. Shut my hvac down. They won’t refund my money. They tried to say it was a defective thermostat. I called a real hvac professional and they installed the SAME unit at the same price and fixed my hvac. They are just sending anybody.

    The agents installed my smart thermostat and took me through how to use it (and the app). They answered all my questions and made everything very easy to learn. The agents were knowledgeable, professional and friendly.

    We were up and running un 30 minutes. Geek Squad showed up as scheduled and went right to work. Thermostat was installed, connected to our wifi and off we went.

    No one could figure out how to connect the wires i had hanging from the wall.. i had 3 wires.. one did nothing and the other 2.. one green went into red tab and one red went into white tab or something to that effect... took him a while to figure out but he did it.. i am so greatfuk

    Techs came in on time & installed nest thermostat-knowledgeable in all pre-installation process with electric breaker box etc. Very efficient and prompt. Very satisfied customer

    BestBuy installer did a great job installing thermostat with a very old HVAC system. Called Google service who were online immediately and stayed through end of installation and setup

    The Nest thermostat is absolutely the bestband easiest to use. In my brand new house i took out the Honeywells and replaced them with Nests. Best move ever.

    Salesperson said wifi thermostat could be installed. A week later installer called an hour before appointment to say he couldn’t do it. I called to get a refund for the installation and they assured me it could be done. I waited another week and the same installer called an hour before appointment and seemed upset that another appointment was made. Told me it had to be done by a HVAC technician. I brought the thermostat back for a complete refund of item and install. I was once again asked to give them a chance as they definitely did do installs. I was assured they would get to the bottom of it and call me. I never got called. Had it installed a week later by HVAC guy. It ended up costing me more money and multiple trips to the store. Sadly no one at the store seemed to care.

    Maximum Disappointment except for the store manage

    Your purchase date is wrong by at least two months. I could not get it installed for over two months. The local store manager was wonderful and got me scheduled and also honored the $50 rebate that had expired because the thermostat was not been installed within 67 days. The installer never showed. An independent contractor controlled by corporate. I never got a call. The contractor called to reschedule but it was not convenient. Can only do on Wednesdays. I cancelled. Several days later I get a call from the installer office with an apology and ask if I would like to try to reschedule at a later date. I gave her a date after which I would be available to reschedule. She promised to follow up and for my inconvenience she would send me a check for $100. That was 4 weeks ago. No check. No surprise. Don’t buy a smart unless you can take the installer home from the store with you and not return him till it works.

    Richard did an outstanding job installing three smart thermostats at my home in Ivins, Utah. He went the extra mile when a problem came up with the third thermostat, which he quickly identified and solved. I am very happy with the service he provided.
