I had to fix it so it would work properly after they left. Disappointing after paying for service. And shocked that they smelled so badly that early in the morning that I had to cover my nose and mouth. The two people made me very uncomfortable.
I would suggest you make sure you know who is coming and that it is someone reputable. They seem to subcontract often but do not warn you.

2 additional techs showed up about the time of the install. They had a hard time finding which wires went where due to our older system. They stuck with it and solved the problem!!

Agent ripped and replaced my 3 old thermostats with the Ecobees, then told my wife they were not compatible with my HVAC because they only had 4 wires, and that we should buy the Google thermostat instead. 1.) There were at least 5 wires with every thermostat, basic counting is the LEAST you can expect from a technician and 2.) I paid a real HVAC company $450+tax to install them with zero problems. All 3 "incompatible" Ecobees are now working great. Do NOT waste your money having Best Buy do this install. Do it yourself or pay an HVAC company to do it.

Agent wasn’t any help as far as installation. He told me that I didn’t have the proper wires to connect the thermostat so I had to hire an electrician who was able to use the wiring that i already had in the wall. I am so mad because this ended up costing me over $200 which it shouldn’t have cost me anything cause I am a Best Buy total tech member. I am thinking about contacting the corporate office to see if there is anything that they can do because I am a unsatisfied customer with Best Buy. Also not going to renew my membership and will be shopping elsewhere if they aren’t able to help because this isn’t the first time I have had a problem with them.

The smart thermostat we purchase from Best Buy. Helps me in a Winter time when I'm in Florida. To control my house temperature from my phone. An gives me peace of mind.

2 techs arrived they were very respectful of my home and knowledgeable about their job. Before they left they made sure everything was working correctly. I would recommend geek squad to everyone!

This was a new program from what I could tell. Their were many follow up calls confirming our appointment and the service did not take long. Our system is functioning properly now with a wifi capable thermostat.
