Disappointed! I made sure there was a blue c wire in the wall. Tech said must not be hooked up at the unit and put my old one back on. I looked in the attic and it was connected so not sure if the thermostat is defective. I need to check if current coming through wire and if so the thermostat is defective.

After tech’s left, the thermostat didn’t work. We called a heater company to see if our heater was working properly. He told us that the thermostat was not hooked up correctly. The heater company fixed it. It was an unnecessary cost for us.

Contracted company that was sent to install was very unprofessional, lacked knowledge and appropriate demeanor, and did not in any way reflect the quality of home service received in the past by actual Best Buy personal. Although I would recommend Geek Squad in the future - "I Would Not" recommend this particular contractor!

Installers did not want to install cameras where I asked them to install. They took the easy way out. They told me they had 25 minutes to complete my job before they were to move on to the next appointment. Poor customer service. They also did not install the smart thermostat because they said it was incompatible with my current wall mount.

You sent two separate techs out for the install and neither were qualified for the install. The first couldn’t get the thermostats to work and explained his specialty was computers and not thermostats. The second said he specialized in low voltage work, was unsuccessful, and said he didn’t have HVAC experience. So now I’m having a HVAC contractor do the install. Very dissatisfied with Best Buy and their total tech solution service.

This was outsourced. The individuals installed the switch slanted and I had to ask to align level. When I asked, the response was “it was crooked before” and from there the service and demeanor was downhill. Would not recommend the outsourcing company utilized. It is still loosely installed but after commentary and mess made, just wanted to move on.

I bought several Nest products for my home and office and arranged to have them installed through Best Buy. I am now having to spend $2,000 to have them taken out of my home since they are not compatible and require the Nest thermostats to be replaced (I already threw out my old ones). The technician said that 1:they are incorrectly wired and 2: they should have never been installed with the system that I have. It’s a shame that the people who came out chose to put these in my house when any true professional would not have.

Unfortunately the tech person subcontracted by Best Buy was unfamiliar with Nest Thermostats and ending up blowing a fuse, causing my air conditioning to stop functioning. On a positive note, a Best Buy manager credited us on another purchase for the resulting HVAC charges we incurred to repair the fuse and correctly install the Nest thermostat.

The service guy came on time and went straight to work but couldn’t get it to work. We had a new baby visiting and we had no heat for most off the day.

This person just come and tighten the screws and I had to talk to Google to setup thermostat- installation means it should be in working condition not just hang things on screw - the person left my house saying you manage the installation - if only I knew I would have not spent any money for this work- I had all great experience with Best Buy services this one is only bad (worst) - I need refund

Having bought the Geeksquad smart thermostat installation, I've been trying to book an appointment for more than a month now. After a long wait time and multiple call transfer within their support teams, the scheduling team would take down the request, but would never call back for the available dates. I wish the company hear this and change their process to allow appointments to be booked through their website.
