    Shorted my AC

    The installer was very nice but, unfortunately, not competent to install this thermostat. When installing it he shorted my AC unit so that the Thermostat and my AC didn't work. I needed to have my AC service company make an emergency call to fix the AC and complete the thermostat installation

Smart thermostats are a great way to control the temperature in your home, however, having issues with your AC unit afterwards is not ideal, especially with the changing weather.     TECH. OMAR BROCK SMALL PART WHILE INSTALLING. HE SAID SOMEONE CALL YOU FOR ANOTHER APPOINTMENT TO FIX BUT NO ONE CALLED AS OF TODAY 03/31/2023. VERY BAD SERVICE

    3 very nice youths showed up to install my Ecobee4 thermostat. Did not succeed. My heater maintenance guy (with whom I have service contract) installed it without problem. Then, I had a 10+ minute phone call to get my $99.99 back. The phone call succeeded, but I was having my doubts.

      While I am glad to hear that our Agents were nice, but it is disappointing to hear that they were not able to get the job done.     They were not able to install it - non competent at all. Had to get install by a third party at my own cost

    Got told in store that the "GEEK SQUAD" could install these however after I bought them and they came to install they then stated they could not.

    Installer removed the old thermostat and Nest was installed. It started to work, and there was an error message, the tech made and adjustment, then it didn't work, Tech left. I now have no thermostat

    Agent did not properly test to see if thermostat worked before calling it good. He left and was doing same things it was doing when I self installed. Waste of money.

    two guys came out to install door bell and thermostat. The guy installed the thermostat wrong and I had to call a heating and air guy to fix it.

    The agent mounted my Google Nest but did not know how to wire it, so I had to call an actual HVAC technician to install the thermostat and get it working. Complete waste of time and money.

    Thermostat improperly installed by Geek Squad resulting in loud noise from ac and freezing up. Could have had fire. Had to hire licensed air conditioner specialist as emergency to fix resulting in a bill just under 500. Made insurance claim and have not heard final decision.

    Due to the wiring in our home, the installer could not complete the installation even though they had said prior to arriving that they could. We were disappointed in the lack of communication between the store and the installer, so we sent them home.

      A smart thermostat can be a great way to help with energy efficiency and general convenience when trying to heat or cool your home. We would have been excited for such an installation too, and know it would have been more than a little disappointing to hear that your unique wiring prevented completion of the service. As each home is different, after in-person inspection, it can be discovered that a service may be more complicated than first assumed. At this point, I would recommend connecting with an agent at (800) GEEK-SQUAD or (800) 433-5778 for further assistance.

    system does not function properly. WiFi not connected on second floor. Battery draining. First floor unit had to be replaced with the old thermostat

    Came to my home to install Nest thermostat and it is not working the day after installation. Geek squad was supposed to be here today no later than noon. It is now 2PM and no sign of anyone. This is just awful customer services. Terrible and you should be ashamed.

    Very poor service by Best Buy. Their team was not able to install it. Our heating local guys (not from Best Buy) did it in 15 mins.

    Geek squad was a no show for installation and has never rescheduled. Still not installed. Customer service is aweful. Tried contacting store, geek squad experience manager and store manager and its still not installed nor have I been contacted.

    Works for 1 week with the app using your smart iPhone. After a week I have to do it manually in the actual thermostat..

    The thermostat was installed incorrectly costly us a small fortune to get an AC man to correct it ... the wires were switched and it was calibrated incorrectly ... waiting for customer care to open so I can complain :(
