I heard this was bad before I watched it but I wasn't prepared for how much they messed up Snake Eyes. They took one of the most honorable characters in the franchise and made him an absolute, unlikable jerk. The action scenes are choppy and shaky. They even do dumb stuff where Snake Eyes will sneak into a place in a ninja outfit and once he gets inside he takes off his hood and mask so now everybody knows who he is. This movie is so bad it will make you want to go back and watch the two previous GI Joe movies just to forget this exists. This will definitely be a value movie for $10 or less.

The steelbook design gets 5-stars. One of the best steelbook designs to come out recently. The 4k disc had a small scratch on it, and I don't have a 4k player so I could not tell if it was damaged on playback or not. I did not use the digital code for several weeks and ended up renting the film to see it. Hollywood has somehow ruined one of the best characters and what could have been a great backstory. G.I. Joe: Retaliation already set-up the perfect origin story, why this film did not expand on that, I have no idea. This movie makes no sense. The camera shakes through most of the film which is one of the most annoying things to come out of Hollywood. It could have been an epic film. The best part about it are the set designs. If the writers and directors had taken that kind of detail with the plot and characters and action sequences, this could have been one of the greatest films since Enter the Dragon. It is worth buying because of the steelbook design, and the film is okay to watch.

Not the story I grew up with, Snake-Eyes starts out as the bad guy and the last 15 minutes changes his life around? It’s bad, real bad. For any die hard joes out there it’s even worse. The original story was so good and so tragic and how Snake-Eyes perseveres through it anyway, that would have been the story. It doesn’t touch on how he lost his voice or how his face was mangled either. That was one of the big draws to Snake-Eyes fir me as a kid. Why did he wear a mask and why didn’t he speak? Too much left out and too much junk put in. This is a real let down.

This rendition sucks. The new story line would've been fine if the plot actually made sense. Cut scene after cut scene. They didn't take advantage of any of the star cast and their fighting skills. As soon as you thought you were going to get a good fight it jumped to another scene. Poor directing. We wasted 2 hours that we can't get back.

Absolutley horrible. Starts off very good. The storyline isn't all that great. A pretty forgettable film. Not worth the buy or the rent. I was wondering why so many shopppers passed this one up. I wanted to see it at my local theatre when it came out and didn't get the chance. Decided to buy it as it was on sale absolutley AWFUL movie skip for sure.

We have waited and waited for a snake eyes movies and we did not get one. We got a guy that was a scumbag working for cobra. Then after what felt like forever he puts the outfit. Let’s not forget he never stops talking. Just wasn’t good

This was the worst g I joe movie I have ever seen maybe the worst movie and am 40 years old I have seen some bad movies the picture quality was good but could not makeup difference

I hate to say I did not like this movie. I've been a GI Joe fan since I was a kid and they totally ruined the character of Snake Eyes. Very disappointed.

Absolutely on acting, needed more FX to carry over the horrible male actors. Grandmother played her role as expected

The movie is so bad. I cant even explain how bad it is. Its literally a waste of time to watch it. You will definitely regret wasting the time you took to watch this. For the steelbook collectors, this is definitely a nice steelbook for the collection,but not at this price just because the movie was horrible. $15 is a better price. SERIOUSLY dont watch. They messed up the whole story line. Horrible acting as well.

Dont waste your time with this movie, absolutely garbage from beginning to end, the first act didnt strike me at all motivated to see how it will resolve and the third act literally had an overwhelming corny resolution that wouldve led you to believe it was just the start.

They made snake eyes a scum.only looking out for himself. Willing to work with cobra to get answers. Lets not forget he dont wear the mask until the very end of the movie for 10 seconds.
