Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins” is probably about as good a movie as you’re going to get that has the words “G.I. Joe” in the title. Maybe that’s because it seems to have very little to do with anyone’s conventional idea of G.I. Joe. It’s not a square-jawed, mildly jingoistic heavy-weapons combat. The Hasbro-inspired action franchise. It is, rather, a darkly atmospheric, sleekly scissor-limbed ninja combat a tale of vengeance and nobility and scheming set in Tokyo, where the title character (Henry Golding), a moody drifter who saw his father killed by shadowy forces, joins the Arashikage clan, a 600-year-old ninja dynasty, but only because he’s on an undercover mission of sabotage.

No spoilers here! The movie was better than I expected which was a bonus in my opinion. The pacing was a little erratic at times but not bad enough to make me lose interest. The picture quality is fantastic and the audio was fantastic! The actual steelbook is very easy on the eyes. The graphics and colors look fantastic on the black background. There's no bossing of any kind but that's okay because the overall look is still really good.

I collected G.I. Joe comics in my youth, I even had a subscription, I literally had every comic published. While its been years since I read and owned these great books, I can't remember enough to say if this was on point or not. However, I felt it is a great movie, but can see where others will feel it's a poor attempt. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who still loves G.I. Joe & should be great fun to watch with your kids as well to share in your childhood with them.

Theres rumors there making a part 2 of this movie and probably rebooting the G.i. Joe movies

This is one of the best-looking UHD Blu-rays I have ever seen. It was like watching a movie set in one of the 4K demos on Youtube. Colors looked incredible and it was like looking through a window. Every UHD enthusiast should own this. The movie itself was quite enjoyable too.

This movie was way better than we thought it would be. Not hokey or silly, but well thought-out with a good script that holds together and is backed by some incredible action and fight sequences. There aren't big names in here, A-list stars galore, but you won't miss them. Everyone cast steps up just fine.

This movie had a really good angle, and especially for an origins movie of a GI Joe character I grew up to as an 80s baby. Loved the film and acting! This is a Black Friday purchase, so I’m definitely happy with the price and value! Def recommend!

Different from all the origins stories I read in comic books, but that was 25+ years ago. Had to return the 1st purchase. Blu-ray played, but when it got to the movie the opening border of the Play, Setup, Extra, Etc. tool bar would not disappear. Returned for another copy & it played great!!!

If you are a G.I. Joe fan, then this is the movie for you. It’s storyline touches upon Snake Eyes. Everyone can relate to it. Cast helped to bring the characters to life and allow you to relate to it very easily. Will not disappoint. Definitely should be part of one’s movie collection.
