If you’re a beginner with drones, the Vantop Snaptain P30 with its reasonable price point is squarely calling for your attention. It doesn’t have long range control which makes sense because as a beginner, you wouldn’t be comfortable flying it out of sight. But, other useful features are also sacrificed to hit the price point and low weight. For example, there are no sensors for avoiding obstacles. Normally this won’t be an issue as long as you fly line-of-sight and it’s a very calm day. But if you use the automated return to home feature, there’s no guarantee it won’t run into a tree, especially if wind gust comes through. Speaking of wind, the drone’s light weight really requires conditions to be as calm as possible. My first flight with it was on a day with winds at the upper end of the recommended flying conditions—and the video was very jerky. The image quality on the video itself was just ok for a home movie. It’s blocky and the wide angle lens distorts the horizon. I have a hard time recommending this because once the novelty of flying a drone for the first time wears off, you’ll start wishing for more features.

This is a great entry level drone with some higher end features. We have a kids drone, this drone and a more high end drone. I was interested in this drone as our son has had a lot of fun with the kids one but isn’t quite to the level where he could easily use the higher end drone. I was looking for something we could use as a family and teach our son at the same time. This came in a great carrying case that fits everything nicely. Additional blades are also included which was a nice bonus. The case feels like it would be fairly protective. The controller or remote is a little bulky compared to what I’m used to but feels sturdy. My only complain on the remote is I do have to remove my phone case to get my phone to fit securely but I have the same issue with our high end drone so it’s probably a me issue more than a remote issue. This charges fairly fast and the battery lasts about what I’d expect at this price point. The app took a minute to get connected but we’ve had no issues since then. It’s fairly straightforward and I’d say user friendly to get this up and running for your first flight. The drone itself looks very similar to our high end however it is quite a bit lighter. I’m hopeful this will stand up to repeated flights being on the smaller side. This is a lot of fun and I’d recommend this for families looking to have another outdoor activity or for tech savvy kids looking to learn. The video quality is what you’d expect of 4K as well.

I do love this drone for what it was worth. It was my first buy for a newer drone. So far i have found the drone does not do well in heavy winds. But other than that its a good starter. Only thing i dodnt like was the batteries dont last long.

For the money it's a fantastic drone. For top end photography it's lacking which it should given the price. I am so glad I learned how to fly a drone with this one! Lots of fun and easy to take along!

Awesome drone for a very low price. Very easy to use and great customer service as well. Once you understand all the controls it’s simple to fly and even takes great photos! 10/10 would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a smaller drone.

I had zero experience with drones until I got this one. Surprisingly, it was a breeze to fly, and the camera quality exceeded my expectations. And also, the price is decent, making it a perfect fit for beginners like me.

Very cool product but it wont take off for me in certain situations. The controls have a lot of child/dum dum proofing. It would be better with more direct controls. Its simply not intuitive. The gps is cool on paper but its extremely unreliable and its prioritizeed over user controls making this kinda annoying and scary to operate. It likes to auto pilot into things,possibly you. There's just no way to stop it. Its almost the equivalent on not being able to turn traction control or autopilot off in a car.

I’m new to drone experience but Snaptain P30 is perfect, user friendly, high quality and reasonably priced, with 4k video quality the drone experience takes you next level. Highly recommend

This is a really great drone for the price. It's very user friendly and set up is easy. Good quality and fun to use. I'm thinking of getting another one as a gift for my brother. Highly recommend.

This was the most disappointing purchase I ever made I unbox the drone it would only fly about 300 ft away and it would lose connection with the remote control and then fly somewhere else there was no home button when I did fly it was super unstable it would not stay steady super affected by the wind not a good drone

This product isn’t the best on the market. The best on the market isn’t at its price. Therefore you loose some and gain some. P30 is an excellent product at its price. It is functional, 4k xcamera is good, HD option is great and 20minutes flying time isn’t to shabby for a hobbies. It’s thoughtfully packaged in a neat case with extras.

Great beginner drone and is a fair price. It's a lot of fun using the preprogrammed flight options.

I’ve never had a drone before. This is my first one, but for the price, it’s a pretty good start! For what I’m going to use it for it’s definitely worth it for me! Very nice video resolution and takes decent pictures. Hopefully my dogs don’t destroy it thinking it’s a flying chew toy…!
