SNAPTAIN S5C PRO Review

Even slight mid-air contact with obstacles can cause the camera housing to separate from drone and easily be lost. There is an emergency shutoff switch on the controller , situated next to several drone quick conntrol shortcut keys. pressing this Kill switch immediately cuts power to drone motors and drone falls from sky rapidly without warning.

You need a trained baby octopus to do it. Have to insert screws that are about 1/32" into non-threaded holes, using a weakly-magnetized screwdriver, down a "canyon" between parts that's about 1" deep. Somehow got that done, got it linked with the controller, and hit the autotakeoff button. It went up a few feet and immediately started smashing into random walls rather than hovering. And not just in one direction, it was going from wall to wall. There was not, to be clear, any HVAC going or open windows at the time - that's the flight characteristics. Tried manual takeoff and eventually got it up and somewhat hovering. It takes such continual adjustment that there is never any time to even try to work the trim buttons, so no idea if they work. So with that marginal success I took it outside. Where it went up about 10 feet, sideways maybe 5, and lost contact with the controller. Does it return to home like it's supposed to? Ha. Flies off over our roof and is gone forever. Controller feels really cheap (don't have any experience to compare it to) and will not hold a standard phone these days. The phone just keeps popping out of the cruddy holder, so no chance to see what it is doing either. And to top that off, Best Buy's service plan (used to be TotalTech but now renamed) won't give a refund even though it's a unit failure, so something like $85 down the drain. DO NOT BUY!
