Overall good quality, easy to use - he figured out the details on his own. Ordered online since not in stock in the store. Only disappointment is that it's much smaller than I thought it would be, but the 8 year old was just fine with the size. Battery life as described (short), but multiple batteries helps make up for this.

Breaks pretty easily

Keep an eye on if it starts flying funny or has a hard time taking off. I have found cat/dog hair under the propeller is usually the culprit. My 9 year old enjoyed it for a few weeks before crashing and destroying it. The bigger rainbow ones are easier for the younger kids.

The Blue drones almost durable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought two of these for my 7/9 year old sons the button on the drone was still a little difficult to to learn, but after crashing several times and destroying propellers ( bend very easily) they finally learnt tvhe controller after destroying the drones-need more propellers shipped with drone cause they bend easily and once bent they’re useless.

Cats toy

Its crashed lots of time with no damage. My dog hates it,cats are stalking it, when i put it away it has to be ijn a box you cant see through. The cats ruined the box it came in.

Fun Little Done, Not a Beginner Drone

The altitude hold, while not very precise does give you enough hold to actually control the drone. The trims were not very precise so you can't actually get the drone to hover in one position indoors. Like altitude hold, it is enough to allow you to actually fly the drone. The take off and land feature are fairly abrupt. I would take-off from the floor and land on a table to lessen this. All in all, it is well worth $30 (perhaps even more) for something to do when it is rainy outside and you want something fun to do indoors.
