long movie very long winded visually insteresting great audio

Its an Ok movie there are some leasons and hope for mankind

wait for Netflix, Oh yea it's already on there....

Heard a lot of good things about this movie. Wasn't overly impressed. Simply another "people who have nothing revolt against the people who have everything and a lot of violence occurs" type of story. Nothing to really set it apart from others.

the movie had potential--interesting premise and chris evans. there were several glaring mistakes toward the end that I noticed, and some ridiculousness that could not be ignored. I'm honestly not sure why this mvi got great reviews

I don't know what I expected from "Snowpiercer," but it wasn't the amateurish cinematography, the overacting, or the simplistic social moralizing that characterize this film. I couldn't take more than 15 minutes at a time.

Absurd premise. If all life perished except for the train, where do they get the supply of insects. Violent but at par with current trend. Waste of John Hurt, Chris Evans and Ed Harris' talents.

Story is lacking depth, horrid ending, odd characters. Random gore, intriguing concept, but the ending ruined the film for me.

Film with commentary on today's class and social division. Starts strongly but lacking towards the end.

A simple story that I liked. I am glad I waited to see it on the DVD

I expected more from this movie. It was not what I was looking for

Snowpiercer was a very big, and very pleasant surprise. It came out of nowhere, with no advertising and hardly any theatres even showed it. But boy, am I glad I saw it. In the future, in the midst of the second Ice Age, a sole train in perpetual motion circles the world. This train carries the last of humanity. Split up into different sections, the tail being the poor and the front being the rich, the rear section decides to revolt and fight their way to the front. An all star cast includes Chris Evans, who proves that he can actually act, and is quite different from his charming, squeaky clean Captain America act. Tilda Swinton is a tour de force, completely bizarre and just magnificent. Octavia Spencer, Jamie Bell, and John Hurt also make memorable appearances, although I won't spoil them. The two Korean leads are also magnificent. As the 'tailies' fight their way to the front, they pass through a variety of train cars, none what you would expect. The special effects and set design throughout the train are stunning. This movie has a lot of political themes going on under the surface, and is a much smarter and layered movie than you would probably expect. But don't worry; this film has some of the most memorable action scenes in years. From beginning to end, this film hardly lets up. It does let up though, just enough for you to get to know and love these characters. Not your typical Hollywood movie! Takes a lot of risks, and almost all of them pay off. Different, smart, and thrilling. highly recommended.

1000 people left. All of them inside a steel box that goes on a path where the loop starts again every 365 days. The people in the back are the poor the people up front are the privileged. I went into this skeptical, how can you make a movie that takes place inside of a train. The director makes it work and soon into the movie the oppressive confines of the train become a huge part of it and make the story that much better. Is it a little implausible? yes... But don't let that take away from the superb directing and storytelling. The subtle and not so subtle political commentaries in this movie are very well done and you can watch the movie many times to see things you might have missed the first time through. I think this could be up for best picture.

A few months ago I never heard of this film. It was recommended by a friend who enjoyed scifi movies as much as I do so I gave it a watch. It's the best movie that you've never heard of. It was a nice change from cookie cutter sci-fi movies, almost as interesting as Looper. Some of the effects were a little low budget at points but I urge you to check this film out!

Now, I'll admit Snowpiercer isn't for everyone. But for those who appreciate the art of filmmaking, it's something you definitely shouldn't miss. The action, directing, cinematography, acting and art direction are fantastic. The Blu-ray has great audio and video with an entire disc full of fantastic special features.

Without giving away too much, I will say this is a way better movie than you've heard. If you're sick of all the dystopian movies without intelligence or thought then this one is for you. It's too bad this did not receive the marketing it deserves.

Great movie. Why it was not advertised a lot is beyond me. Buy it and you will not regret it. Your friends will thank you for they have not seen it. Just might win a nomination somewhere it's that good
