product comes with everything you need to make your own sodas &/or seltzer. the instructions are very clear, but it took a few tries to get the hang of adding the syrup to the seltzer, without having it erupt out of the bottle..... simply FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS, AS WRITTEN! it's been over a month, and my carbonator is still going (although, i can tell it's getting weaker & probably soon time to replace it) ....I use it daily, so the bottle included in the box, goes a LONG way. I first got 1 for my dad, then 1 for my brother..... they both LOVE it, so i jumped in and got 1 for myself!

When I purchased this item it was for the house and guest. I simply fell in love with it. It's better than some of the sodas out there now. Also the flavored mixes for it is very good. You're making your own soda!!!

Second soda stream I've owned, other one was left with old roommates so bought this model, greatly upgraded mechanism for adding carbonation. Great value opposed to buying traditional soda, highly recommended!

Great value for the price. If trying to count calories, you can make your own 0 calories carbonated drink using supermarket available products like kool aid, great value, mio or crystal delight concentrates

I've been using this regularly since my friend had me try it and I was skeptical that it wouldn't taste anything like soda, but I am actually impressed with the taste as well as the ease to create it.

We purchased the Soda Stream after trying it at someone ele's home. So far a favorite flavor is the half and half lemonade and iced tea. The diet pink grapefruit and root beer are also good.

We have tried all the different flavors and we all agree they leave some weird after taste. So far root beer seems to be one favorite. However we did discover a different flavor source: real fruit. We have made lemon and lime water from real fruit. Then mixed strawberries & peaches in water. We strained the water into the carbonated water. This is good with no after taste. This formula saved the soda maker from being put on a shelf collecting dust.

The wide selection of syrup/soda flavors is great. The concept is great and the results can vary depending on how much practice you have with the unit. Sometimes the carbonation varies depending on how long you hold down the button to carbonate the water. That can lead to under carbonation at times. Also, it can be difficult to know how much syrup to put into each bottle as there are different size bottles available and the markings on the inside of the syrup cap can be very difficult to see. This has led on more than one occasion to very sweet or not-sweet-enough soda. Practice and trial and error help, but I do think that there is a learning curve.

We use this to just make plain soda water. Syrups are good for certain drinks. A bit difficult to drink the colas once you are used to brand names. Carbonates the water nicely.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter and she loves it. No more cans of soda everywhere! Great product at a great price.

It's a great purchase!!! Easy to use, have setzer anytime you want and do not need to spend money buying it or buying and carrying lots of bottles of water. Very happy with it!!!

Not much to say here. It's good to look at, works perfectly, and we love out. Not sure if the next step up would be much better. This does the job.

This system is very easy to set up and use. Taste is amazing, but all in all, a 2 liter bottle of Coke or Pepsi at your local supermarket will usually cost less

I love this. I use this everyday. I think that the selections are great and really taste like the real thing. My customers do not know the difference!

We grew tired of lugging diet sodas back from the grocery store and this seemed like something to try - haven't bought another case of soda since!

I have had a Sodastream for years, and had to buy a new one when moving to USA, because the threads on the gas bottles do not fit a NZ Sodastream (Grrr!). Bought the exact same model I had in NZ (with different threads) but in the cooler-looking black & silver coloring. It works - makes soda water - but I do find I need to pulse it twice to get the same 'bubbliness' I got from one pulse in NZ. I guess that may be a feature of the gas bottle rather than the Sodastream. If buying again, I might just get the higher-featured model - didn't see it Best Buy though.

Set up and use is unbelievably easy. It sucks that you have to hand wash the bottles every time.

Good product easy to use. Not sure about durability since I've only had it a out a month. Use it mostly for seltzer water and add flavor.

Love this product. Tastes like the real thing plus it helps the environment buy cutting down on soda bottles/cans deposed of daily.
