Unfortunately this particular model is not as good as the older version. I already twice made a mess when the magnetic holder didn’t work on the first try and the carbonation ‚exploded‘ and water went all over the counter. When the bottle is tight it works fine.

Once we got this, I was very much disappointed. One of my firends had the original soda stream and that one was so much betwr. Instead of relying on the seal to be pressed, you actually screwed the bottle into the top which craated the seal that doesn’t leak or break. I tried this several times to get it right. Out of the week we used it, we were cleaning up seltzer every day. Its not worth the hassle.

Then I find out you can order Coca-Cola syrup online. (Order a spout and drain the syrup into gallon size bottles in case the bag leaks. 6 oz of syrup in a quart size mason jar, then pour carbonated water into the mason jar and you have fountain Coke.
