I took my new computer in for set up and to have programs from my old computer transferred over and the Geek Squad member had a lot of trouble doing it. He didn't seem to the have the knowledge to do this and became frustrated after an hour and a half and told me he had other customers with appointments he had to get to. Left dissatisfied that I would have to figure it out for myself.

I have had my new computer back about 2 hours after install. I'm just getting used to it. I was thrilled with the intake & the gentleman who took in the computers to changeover - yesterday evening. He said we would do a bunch of stuff on pickup. Less than 24 hours later my computer is ready. The gentleman who helped me at pickup knew NOTHING. I asked him if my computer was the kind that can be used as a tablet. He said he didn't think so. None of my files from my former computer (1 1/2 y/o computer with declining motherboard) are on my new computer. He couldn't find the files. He handed me my stuff and sent me home. My daughter's boyfriend found them - "Plug your external hard drive in." "Copy/paste them to your deskttop." I'm older, a young senior citizen (66). I'm in college. I needed my college class notes from last semester. I'm learning - Take notes or put my notes on Google Drive! I am glad I have Best Buy Total Tech. If I get the right tech they can be very helpful. This young man was very very nice, but he didn't know anything. Frankly, I don't know how to sign in to Windows again on this computer. I'm missing a lot of information. I'll need to make a return appointment.

They moved my harddrive info from old laptop to new and set it up exactly how I wanted it. Spent all the time I asked of them in a professional couteous manner

The Geek Squad associate was quickly able to answer my question about enabling a document for editing, saving and re-sending the document.

The techs did setup on my laptop and installed some additional software. The tech I spoke with suggested several additional free items to download. The work was done in less time than I was told.
